If I had to pick a type of story that is my favorite, it would have to be the whole "friends become lovers" storyline. I just love it.

Preston is Jo's baby brother. Jo is Ella's best friend. Known to everyone but her, Ella has been the object of Preston's affection since he's been fifteen.

Ella needs saving at Jo's wedding. She has a guy that just won't take a hint that she's not interested. In a spur of the moment decision, Ella heads over to Preston knowing that he'd help her out.

What she didn't expect, however, were the crazy feelings that showed themselves once he pressed is lips to hers.

This was a fun story. I loved every single one of the characters.

While I was rooting for Preston and Ella from the beginning, I understand her when she questions what she's doing. Not only is this her best friends little brother (by a measly two years) but she's had her heart broken recently.

Will they take the plunge and throw caution to the wind or will Ella's trust issues stand in the way? When an incident from Preston's past resurfaces and causes Ella pain, will he be able to hang onto her?

This was a fun and quick read that leaves us with a tiny cliffhanger at the end between Jo and her husband Jackson. Their story continues in the next book, A Perfect Love.

Where do I even start with A Perfect Moment, I quite literally stumbled upon an arc sign up for Becca Lee and I'm so glad I did. APM is about a normal couple no rockstars or billionaires here. APM starts 5 years previously on Ella's wedding day, on what should be the happiest day of her life she walks in on her about to be husband kissing his ex, hilarity ensues when her best friend Jo sees this as well and decides to get even on Ella's behalf. Fast forward 5 years to Jo's wedding day.
So what's it about? Jo, Ella and Jo's younger brother Preston are a tight knit group, while Preston is a good friend to Ella - he is also in love with her, has been for as long as he can remember and due to a creepy wedding guest finally finds his opportunity to make his move, but Ella never realising the depths of Preston's feelings is shocked and overcome to realise that maybe this infatuation isn't one sided.
Now you know I don't like spoilery reviews so as you may have guessed that's all you're going to get from me. But what I will say is that this isn't your run of the mill boy falls for sisters best friend, it's so much more that that, and here in lies the beauty of this story. It's funny, so much so that I was sniggering into my pillow so I didn't wake my sleeping husband, heart warming tender moments that had me swooning and scorching hot sex scenes that had me rethinking waking my husband up.
Congrats Becca on a story so beautiful that it drew me in and wouldn't let go.

Word Wenches Guilty Pleasure: I read an excerpt of this book and laughed the entire time. I knew right away that I wanted to read this book and that it was going to be enjoyable the entire time thru. Becca Lee did not let me down that's for sure! From the very beginning of this book you are swept up into the life of Ella and how she is being completely screwed over by a nickname this place won't let me tell and watches her best friend Jo come to the rescue in the best way humanly possible. You mess with the bull you get the...crap...
From here on the story goes into Ella being the bridesmaid at her best friend Jo's wedding and having Jo's not-so-little brother save her from a pervy man who is hitting on her. Preston....hawtie tottie Preston mmmmmmmmm...where was I? Oh yes! Ella expects Preston to save her, but Preston decides that that is his own moment to make a move. Ella is shocked, shocked, shocked and does the best thing she knows how to do....she runs! And not in a oh my god no one can love me way, in a oh my god I just made out with my best friends bother and just realized he's hot! The story takes off from there being told in both Ella's and Preston's POV. Preston trying to talk Ella into a relationship and Ella not wanting to ruin the friendship they have already. While going through their own personal rigamarole, things start happening and someone tries to come between them.

Somehow Becca is able to mix the serious with the comedic beautifully. I loved all the crazy comments and antics in this story. I usually roll my eyes at the lead character a few times in a story because of how overly dramatic they can be. But Ella is an absolute treat. And Preston, dear god Preston. Baby my butt. This boy is hawt, hawt, hawt firefighter with a sense of humor.

Very brief synopsis - Ella, burned by love and determined not to be vulnerable again, needs a rescue at her best friend's wedding. Preston, brother of the bride, provides Ella with the out she needs, plus a whole lot she hadn't been looking for. Preston has been waiting for the right moment to make his move when Ella literally falls in his lap. Deciding it is now or never, he goes for the full court press. Ella isn't quite on the same page, so Preston decides to distract her with the crazy hot chemistry they have between them. Meanwhile, one of Preston's coworkers seems to be making it his mission to make Preston's life fall apart.

What worked - I loved Ella and Preston. He was so smitten with her, and while he tried not to overwhelm Ella, he didn't try to act cool about it. Ella is a tough chick. She has been burned once, and doesn't want to put her heart on the line again. She is a hard one to pin down, but Preston is patient and persistent. There are lots of funny moments, too, which I adore in my romance reads. Good secondary characters. The writing was smooth and sharp. Sweetly hawt sex scenes.

What didn't work as well - There was a subplot involving a coworker of Preston's that seemed...I don't know...pointless, I guess. I get that he provided conflict, but I would have rather had a few more conversations between Preston and Ella about the primary conflict, which was Ella's unwillingness to take a chance. The subplot wasn't bad, I just didn't really see the need for it. The subplot led to a TSTL moment for the heroine.

Although Ella and Preston had known each other for most of their lives, they still moved pretty darn quick. A week is not a lot of time, but then again, when it's right, it's right.
