Great peripheral for light gun-based games.

When it comes to the Wii, some of my favorite games are those with realistic peripherals (namely weapons and instruments). The perfect shot is large enough to hold the wii-mote, and adds a light gun feel to shooting-based games. The Wii remote slides into place on a track and is held down with an orange ring in the front that flips up. The nun-chuck port is passed through to the bottom for games that require.

The plastic housing is light, which is nice because the remotes are heavy enough--I can use this for several hours at a time without my hands growing tired. The trigger is spring-loaded (so it has decent action) and it connects well with the "B" trigger button on the remote.

The only reason that I didn't give a five-star rating is because of slightly poor construction or quality control. Generally they work very well, and I have no problems when the remotes are correctly in place. I have four of these, and at least one has minor troubles with the track. On occasion it is difficult to slide the remote into place and get it to connect properly with the pass-through port. When this happens I need to play with it for a few minutes to get it into place.

All things considered I am quite happy with my purchases. I have used these for the past three years without issue. If I ever broke one I would happily order a replacement.

Great Pistol

I give this pistol 4.5 stars, and you can slice it however you like. This is a great pistol. Very rugged and durable except 1 thing -- the bail (orange retaining strap) over the very front of the pistol is kinda loose, and it will move around a bit. It only did it to me during vigorous shoots, but nonetheless, it does move. I have small hands for a guy, and my right hand did get a lot sore after using this pistol for several hours. The trigger pull was very consistent, and as I said before, this pistol is solid. Children and men and women with small hands may develop sore hands after several hours of play. For $10, tho, it's a great buy. Consider getting a WiiZapper if you have smaller hands. It's about $20. I'll review the WiiZapper later. The WiiZapper is extremely well-built, and it works great when used like a pistol -- not when used like a shotgun. I bought a knock-off pistol from Dollar General, and it's terrible compared to this pistol, btw. Be leary of any pistol that uses fancy contraptions to push the A button -- try it out before you buy it, if you can. The B button is pressed with every trigger pull on this pistol. All the main buttons are accessible on top as well. This pistol also has a great bonus feature which is the nunchuck connector in the bottom of the pistol. That's right, there's a connector inside the pistol that not only holds the controller in place, but it also connects the nunchuck thru the bottom.

I chose this over the cabellas dangerous hunt rifle because it works with the shooters that
don't allow you to change control maps (house of the dead).

It's fun and it feels nice.

I have a big projector screen, which is awful for trying to calibrate Wii remotes. This means
that I have to look at the cursor on screen as opposed to looking down the barrel of this gun.

When it comes to the immersion factor I'd probably be just as happy with a $6 Zapper.

If you have a really big TV or projector screen then this isn't worth the money.

I got a pair of these to use with House of the Dead 2 & 3 , and they are a lot of fun. The game is more fun with a gun in your hand, and the accuracy is much better. Calibrating the remote was also easier with the perfect shot guns than just using the Wii remote on its own.

As for drawbacks, the guns are a bit heavy and so your wrists do get tired, and even pulling the trigger takes more effort than the remote alone. I know that sounds silly, but when you are blasting away at thousands of on-coming zombies, you need all of your strength. It also makes it more difficult to use the other buttons on the Wii remote, but as they don't come into play that often with House of the Dead that hasn't been too much of a hindrance. It is also worth noting that you have to strip your remote to use the guns, which means taking off both the gripper and the wrist strap.

I finished "House of the Dead 2 & 3" pretty quickly with these new guns, so now I am on the hunt for a new game I can use them with. Some drawbacks aside, the Perfect Shot guns are a lot of fun and I definitely look forward to using them with some new games.

After playing House of the Dead 2 and 3 with the Wii-mote gave us sore wrists, my boyfriend and I decided it would be a good idea to buy a couple of gun controllers. After some research, I bought two Perfect Shots; the price was right, and it had the largest number of positive reviews. I cannot even BEGIN to express how much easier first person shooters are to play with this controller! And so much more fun! I love that you can plug the nunchuck into the bottom of the gun. To address some of the more negative reviews, I agree that the grip is a bit blocky, but I don't really find that to be an issue. I also don't get any of the clickiness some people have complained of with the trigger, and the guns are very solid and durable. Maybe not if your kid is throwing it across the room or something, but more than adequate for your average user. I'd recommend these to anybody looking for a gun controller for the Wii.

First off, the gun I received was a silver version - not the white/blue as seen in the product image. I have no idea if this is just a colour thing, or whether this means there are differences between them.

What I like:

- Sturdy enough
- A gun controller is a must for games like House of the Dead, and this works
- Feels fine in the hand (although slightly heavy for kids)

What I don't like

- Not sure if it's a Wii or gun problem, but the targeting does not line up with the physical sight on the gun, despite attempts at recalibration. This means you need to watch the crosshair on the screen pretty closely, or your aim will be off
- Pretty fiddly to actually fit the wiimote in there, and a very snug fit when you do - so a shiny wii remote comes out with a few marks from the gun casing

Overall, decent price and does the job - no regrets purchasing. I feel like there must be better models out there, though.

although this gun is a bit on the expensive side, it is extremely well built, with the remote mounted on it, it has a very nice solid feel, and pressing the trigger pushes the trigger on your wii very smoothly. I found the grip a little bit short (but I have largish hands, so I suspect it would be okay for most people). The sight on the gun is more for show as you will usually be aiming slightly higher than the sights, depending on your set up of course. I absolutely loved this gun, and all my nephew and nieces (7 out of 8 of them) loved it, 1 didn't but that was because she is only 6 and has very small hands, but even she said it was fun using it.

Be warned - this gun is seriously addictive, you'll end up using for such long periods you'll end up with trigger ache!!

I bought several guns on the wii, the zapper, an after market rifle, a spring loaded pistol and two of these. When i have the guys over this ones are always argued for.

Only reservation about recemending it is the orange clip that holds the wii-mote in is very flimsy and one snapped off on one of my pistols and without the wii-mote falls out constantly and the trigger doesnt contact properly.

Other then that the best gun i've tried so far.
