“Anderson’s long-running Harrigan Family series takes a most unusual turn by introducing a time-traveling Druidess. This updated take on the marriage-of-convenience plot is both uplifting and emotionally riveting. Dire events are threatening the Harrigan family, and longtime readers will worry right along with the protagonists. Get ready for one magically heartwarming experience!”—RT Book Reviews

Quincy has quite a surprise coming when Ceara, a druid with many powers, appears out of nowhere from the far distant past in a stall in his stables and tells him the only way he can save his dying sister-in-law, Loni, is to marry Ceara.
Now this theme is QUITE a bit different from Anderson's usual fare but I trusted her and got the book based on her name.
I am so glad that I did. This was another fun, sexy read by Anderson (and as always, I shed a few tears too).
So - be adventuresome and read "Perfect Timing." You won't regret it.
I usually don't go in for time travel stories either, but she handled this with such skill and humor, the premise stayed fresh where it could have worn thin. Ceara (I loved her Irish brogue) who sacrifices her future to break a curse on the Harrigan family men and their first wives, travels to our time and seeks out a very skeptical Quincy, the last single Harrigan male. Making him believe in her mission is not easy, but she is finally successful in breaking the curse which in turn saves Quincy's sister in law Loni (a beloved character from earlier books in the series) who is on death's door. Then the fun begins when Ceara has to learn to live in a modern world. A scene where Ceara is trying hard to open a champagne bottle is so cute and funny I got a stitch in my side from laughing! And the end was so heart wrenching, I was a nervous wreck and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Any book that can draw that much emotion out of me is a success in my view.
I am not Catholic, so I don't know enough to know if I should be offended by how Anderson handled the religion, clairvoyance, and crystal ball aspects of the story. But I did feel that she handled it with a great amount of respect and made it clear that everyone in the story, no matter their gift, had a strong faith in God. I could have done without the whole personal sex toy thing, but all in all, it was tastefully done.
Perfect Timing is another great love story that stresses the importance of family, personal sacrifices, the joy of falling in love and the knowledge that sometimes a love this special can transcend time. For me, it's another keeper from Catherine Anderson.
