I was so delighted when I found out that this author made another book! It has been 3 years since her last book (Ditched).
Tori was a delightful character, I loved her wits and how much she knew about romance/love, though also found out that love doesn't always go according to the little rules mentioned in the books.
I felt sorry for her that her mom never did pay much attention to her any more. I don't really understand parents. I can imagine that you have a job, and you need money, but you also have a kid, a kid that needs love and attention. And the mom's restricting everything is also not a good idea. I can imagine you are worried, but by restricted all kinds of things, or worrying about everything, you will only make her curious (as we see in this book) or try to find out the borders of what she can do.
It was great fun to see Tori try to ignore her ex, getting a job to take a break from it all, but still kind of hoping that her ex would come back to her. And then later when she finds out stuff, I just loved her reaction and how she stood up for herself. Of course she is heartbroken, but she is also strong, and I love that about her. Instead of holding a cryfest, whobegones and whining, she just tells him off. Sure, she is sad, but she is mostly keeping it together. This is fantastic. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind it if characters cry if they have a break-up, but it is so typical and so bleh at times. I am happy to finally have a character who kicks ass.
Oh and I just have to make an extra mention of Taylor. I loved that guy!
I really loved all the stuff that happened in the book. There is just a whole rollercoaster of things happening in this book. Heartbreak, nightly jobs (I loved those jobs, reading how they had to get doughnuts, get into clubs and all sorts of other things. I wish more books would be about this topic *looks at writers and hopes*), arrests, finding new friends and finding and following your dreams.
The book was delightful and I will be sure to buy it soon (and with this one also the updated Ditched book).
I would highly recommend this book to everyone. Searching for a fluffy and funny romance comedy? Want a kick-ass girl who doesn't let her ex walk over her? Who says no! Who just decides to do things her way? Then you should try this book out. :)

Tori was a character that I immediately loved. I loved her voice and she was a lot of fun. Her view on life was quiet interesting. It was also easy to relate to Tori, like me she did not really know what she was good at and what she should do with her life. She had a dream, like we all do but she just assumed that she would never achieve her dream. Another thing that I loved about her was that she lived by all the dating rules she found in self-help books her mother used for her blog.
Adam was a really nice guy. He respected all of Tori her crazy rules and he did not push her like other people did. But most importantly he made Tori feel comfortable. Even though they only knew each other for a short time it felt like they had been friends for ages.
This book was hilarious at some points. Tori and Adam had to do so many odd jobs. Because of that they often landed in some weird situations which led to really funny scenes. I loved reading about their adventures together from delivering donuts to talking themselves into clubs. But my favorite one was definitely when Tori got arrested. The scenes in jail were just hilarious and I could not stop laughing.
Overall I really loved this Perfect Timing. It was an entertaining and sweet read. There were so many funny scenes in it that I had a big smile on my face the whole time I was reading it. The protagonist was great and the romance sweet. While the book might have been somewhat predictable it was still fun to read. I am definitely going to check out the other books by this author.
