This is nice to have book for beginner level. If you new in performance testing the book will go thorough in what is what basis. For example, What is performance testing? What is load testing? What is stress testing? etc... Also it covers the steps and processes of performance testing. If you are already expert the field this book is not recommended for extend your knowledge in performance testing. I would recommend the book by PHD Henry Liu

I have been performance testing for a while now, and i must say that this book helped jump start my knowledge for this particular area of computer science.The authors explain concepts in terms that can be understood by a broad technical audience.The authors also include an introducton to the Agile and CMMI methodologies from a performance perspective (which is also helpful to the un- initiated).
