The keyboard works without error, and as designed. It's just that the design is poor.
I have in the past purchased the PX-1100, and generally had been happy with that keyboard.
That keyboard worked well except that it wore out every 2 years like clockwork. Others have mentioned the space and "n" keys failing. I can confirm this. Being a membrane keyboard and the amount I used it, I expected it, and like clockwork, I bought another.
The PX-1900, although a good weight and generally good layout and feel, mostly even back-lighting with standard color choices, comes up short in several ways:
1. Biggest problem in the location of the color control button in the lower right. It gets bumped several times a day, every day. The other control buttons, for audio/media, now integrated into standard keys render them near useless.
2. As I said, the weight is good, which should keep the keyboard from sliding, but the tiny size of the pads and their material makes the keyboard slip on my glass desk surface.
3. The angle of the keyboard has only 2 settings, and is very shallow, making typing problematic. This also renders the the status lights, recessed into honeycomb structures, unreadable unless looking near straight down.
I can't fault the cost, and now using a switch instead of membrane I like the feel, but I would not recommend and will most likely be purchasing another brand shortly.
If, somehow, you could pair the design of the PX-1100 with the switches from the PX-1900, add a few tweaks, I would purchase it in a heartbeat.
