Sleek acrylic and rich copper combine to form a feeder that is as beautiful as it is functional. Feeder includes 6 feeding stations and a removable tray that saves seed and simplifies cleaning.
This practical bird feeder by Opus features "chew proof" copper armor, perches on two levels, and six feeding stations where birds can devour up to three pounds of sunflower and mixed seeds. The body and tray of the feeder are constructed of sturdy plastic, and the feeding stations feature an outer layer of copper. You can easily remove the top of the feeder, a copper half cylinder, to refill the feeder. A quick-release plug on the bottom of the feeder simplifies cleaning, and the bottom tray can be removed to discourage larger birds from feasting. A mesh wire loop is attached for hanging. This tube feeder comes with a lifetime warranty and measures approximately 19 inches high without the hanging loop.

There's a distinct possibility that the squirrels in Maryland are just darned mean, but they disassembled this thing in roughly 4 hours. The feeder openings, to their minds, weren't big enough. So, they expanded them. When the copper got in the way, they just tore it lose. The openings became so sharp and jagged that I feared for all my critters' safety. The service life of this feeder was less than 2 days.
Do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a good quality feeder, like one from droll yankees.
