Typing in the dark since 1989. No, really. Did you know you could type on appropriately called typewriters before computers ever existed? Did you know I actually had to dig in memory to remember that name? Did you know that I'm probably wasting my time writing this biography in English since all books sold here are in Spanish?

I was surprised how much I liked this book. I think based on the title I was expecting it to be mostly a list of tables and definitions, but it's not. It's very readable, with lots of short code samples and discussion of them. The progression of topics throughout the book worked well, and I appreciated the chapter on how to get help, especially the tips and etiquette for IRC, which I have rarely used.
What I liked most is that this book helped demystify some of the more obscure Raku syntax. Now I can understand Raku code that I previously couldn't, and that is enormously motivating, and makes me want to continue learning the language.
I found this book very helpful. Hopefully we'll get a 2nd edition that reflects the name change.
