I figured I'd give this a try as it seemed simple enough. All you do is place the different colored beads on a pegboard in the design you want, place a piece of parchment paper over your design and then run an iron across it for somewhere between 10-20 seconds. The heat will cause the beads to melt together and keep their form.
It should be noted that this set of beads does NOT come with any pegboards for your beads, so if you don't have any yet you might want to purchase some like I did (http://www.amazon.com/Perler-Beads-Clear-Square-Pegboards/dp/B005HZ35FK/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1391633250&sr=1-1&keywords=perler+pegboards).
There are other similar types of beads like these around. I read many reviews online and the consensus seemed to be that these are the best quality. The only reason I didn't give this specific tub of beads 5 stars is that it is actually pretty time consuming to go through all the different colors of beads in here to find certain colors you are looking for. So I think from here on out I will be buying colors either individually or packaged together yet each color with it's own individual tray.
Anyhow, lots of different colors. It says 30 and I'm inclined to believe it. Buy my math it should be around 360 beads or so of each but I doubt it is. I've been sorting and there is lots of white and black and such. That makes sense I suppose. I'm sure somewhere in these reviews is a count. It is a good bucket. I can buy sorted colors for planned projects but these are nice to have on hand. Ty Perler.
Just need to spend hours to solving the perler beads.Great for beginners. If you need to do project I suggest puchase individual colours that you really need.
Top international reviews
Advantages: There is a variaty of colours so you can pretty much do anything
Disadvange: Some colours are used more frequent (i.e black and white) so i highly suggest getting some extra packs of just that colour
Also some of the colours are very similar so sometimes i had trouble distinguish which one was which
Some of them are so good that he has stuck them on his Almirah.
The problem seems to be that these are very pricey as these seems to be imported from outside India, and some colors tend to finish very fast in this assorted set, in my case, the black. Also, as this involves ironing, would recommend it for only bigger kids.
i still think it's worth it and you get what is described but it took more energy that i imagined, even with other people saying how hard it was.
