With a temperature range of -65 degrees fahrenheit to 500 degrees fahrenheit intermittent, this gasket maker resists auto and shop fluids, and coats pre-cut gaskets to increase reliability without fouling oxygen sensors. Permatex gasket makers offer significant performance advantages which include outstanding oil resistance, excellent torque retention and hi-temp, sensor-safe properties. First generation 1970-1980 gasket maker. Suggested applications include valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps, thermostat housings, and transmission pans. Note that if you're not careful, it will get everywhere. It's blue and you'll end up looking like a smurf if you're not paying attention.
Yes i had smurf hands after a while but the stuff works. Nitrile gloves are a good idea with this.

WORKS great. I used to seal some pesky leaks.
UPDATE- THIS STUFF WORKS WONDERS IN SEALING ALL KINDS OF LEAKS FROM PLUMBING TO ROOFING. It is great fro repairs.I also 100% agree with other contributor - WEAR Gloves . You will look like SMURF. lol.

I installed this Pentair American Products 2" Side Mount P Series Multiport Valve Spider Gasket G-417 271148 and I needed this product in order to make it fit properly.
I think it did the job I didn't have any leak for one month now.

Delivered on time. Used this product to replace a spider gasket for my pool. It did not flow from the tube that easily and was very messy, but it seemed to do the job. Now that I have some experience with it I'm sure use of this product will be easier.

I used this stuff on a spider gasket for my multiport valve and to seal some PVC threaded connectors for a pool pump. I simply squeezed some out over the teflon tape. It's a bit sticky and messy, but does the job. No leaks!

This gasket maker is good stuff.Works great on valve cover gaskets,oil pan,transmission pan.thermostat housing, and water pump.It handles heat and petroleum based products well.I usually use a gasket with the silicone but it also works by itself.

We use this stuff the seal the hole we punch in a gas tank to drain it so that it doesn't leak vapors after we remove the gas. It seems to work perfect. Bear in mind we much this hole in the top and then use a pump to get the gas out so this is not submerged in gas but it works perfect for our uses.
