I'd run the tailpipe through the wall, through a high-heat-insulated 3" hole I'd drilled to the outdoors, and lined with a section of heavy duty metal pipe.
Now I can run my gas generator in the garage, and this gasket material helped make my exhaust system fume-free.
It works great at high heat!
