On the flip side, multiple reflections of "this must be my Darcy" or "she's just like Emma" became very distracting. One or two references at the beginning would have sufficed. Multiple engagements at the end of the book was a little too improbable for me. Don't know if the author plans to do a series, but this would be a good way to give us more detail about the heroes best friend and his younger brother. Summarizing everything at 87% of the book's completion made me feel like the author was in a rush to wrap things up. I was disappointed with that.
You will love how Lisa paints her characters, each stroke giving definition, depth and color. So many characters filling the rooms with activity, energy and drawing you into the scenes for interactions on many levels.
I appreciated the insights into both Chelsea and Braydon's internal struggles. I could certainly relate to some of these in my own life.
A very enjoyable read. Treat yourself to Persecution and Providence.
