"Finding and creating my own mission statement has been a real game changer forme. Specially when the going goes tough, the words of the statement echoing in my mind, keeps me going...keeps me trying no matter how many times I fail to keep my promises to myself. And truly, I wouldn't have been able to create such an effective statement, which aligns so well with my values and ideals, without this awesome little book."

I read quite a bit of personal development and leadership books. This book is clear and concise. He gives personal points which give you an idea of where he's coming from. There are actually a few points in the book that made me stop and ponder on some things in my life. I was truly surprised when this happened.
The only reason I didn't give this book a five star rating is because, although it is well written, it isn't something that is life altering (for me anyway) but that doesn't mean it couldn't be for you.
If you're looking to create a personal mission statement and you don't want to read through 300 pages of fluff, then get this book. You won't lose anything by reading it; you will only gain something.
You can also consider using the "wheel of life" approach adopted by life coaches. My wheel is very simple: Mindset, Moments and, yes, Money!! We all have expenses to fund!
I also like how author gave personal examples of his own mission statement and results after making/reviewing it many times.

I got this book after reading chapter 2 of 7 Habits and found that the partner book "How to Develop Your Personal Mission Statement" didn't really get me anywhere (it felt like more of chapter 2 tbh). I had heard some good reviews so made the decision to check it out and BOY were they right! This book provides lots of exercises and advice that takes you from having no idea where to start to having a better understanding of yourself and your principles - key foundations to writing a statement. I then gives you advice on how to compile it into your mission statement, but all the while leaves it up to you what form it will take etc. so that the process and product really are yours.
My sincere thanks to the author, Michael Stawicki, for providing much needed practical help and guidance on producing my mission statement. I couldn't have done it without you.
Michal's book has helped me get straight to the nitty gritty and allowed me to quickly start formulating my personal mission statement.
