As an ardent animal rescuer, I know the power of probiotics and I always keep this on hand. But it wasn't until we rescued a bunny with severe digestive issues that I realized it can save a life!
She was having regular bouts of stasis since we brought her home, and nearly died from severe stasis. After 2 WEEKS of hand feeding, administering Sub-Q fluids & meds, and using Bene-Bac she finally took a turn for the better. I used the probiotics daily for a few weeks after and then shifted to weekly maintenance dosing.
She has not had an episode of stasis since using this product! If she seems to be getting a little iffy, I give her a preventative dose of simethicone (gas reliever) and add in extra Bene-Bac doses for a few days. It works wonders and has kept her healthy and happy for nearly 2 years!
While it does not technically require refrigeration, I prefer to keep mine in the fridge just to ensure bacterial viability since this one tube lasts for months with just one rabbit. We use the treats for our dogs and a different powder for all other animals.
Also, please head my warning and CAREFULLY choose who you buy this product from! If you get a product that is NOT sealed, please return it and file a complaint against the seller!
This really is a great product and I HIGHLY recommend it!
