About the Author
Rosalind Abbott found herself having to fight for her life at age 20.
During a time when many are considering what to do with the rest of their life, Rosalind received the news that she had Leukaemia and had only a 50/50 chance to live. The eldest of three kids, she used her strong "can-do" attitude to find the strength to struggle through the treatment and emerge stronger, to reclaim her career as an international model as well as a student of early childhood education.
Now almost 20 years in remission, Rosalind is married and in the process of adopting a beautiful daughter. It was while reading to her daughter, Roz realised one of her greatest fears of reading aloud. When she was young girl, a fear of judgment had made her a nervous reader.
Through the process of writing books, she has discovered her purpose and passion for creating real life stories with a rhyme to encourage, connecting with children who have illnesses, and empowering all children to read out aloud.
