Ms. Dembicki points out that the law varies from state to state.
This short and easy to understand book was written using the Illinois Pet Trust Law. It gives you enough basic information to be able to discuss what you want with your attorney.
The book puts the mystifying "legalese" into simple English, with explanations of basic legal terminology and their meanings. "Pet trusts are plans for your pet if you become ill or disabled and cannot continue the day to day responsibilities of caring for your pet. They provide a plan if your pet outlives you. Some pet trusts are very complex while others are alarmingly simple. "
The book is brief and formatted in a question and answer format.
At the end is PAULINE'SLAW DICTIONARY which gives easy to understand definitions of legal terminology.

I have covered my pets monetarily in my will, but realized after reading this that I need to do more..... I will check it with a lawyer in my state to make sure it does not need slight changes. Thank you Pauline Dembiki for this excellent guideline!
