My cats love scratch pads with raised ends, and when the old one had to be replaced i tried a few other brands, looking for a cheaper option. But though the length was often good in theory, thick rounded ends made the central section very small. My medium size cats had to curl up tight to nap on them, and weren't comfortable standing and scratching in the tight space. So....i bought the bed that seemed to have the most space In the middle--this one, used upside down-- and the amount of feline happiness in my house increased 1000%! Every few minutes i hear someone digging in and scratching. they just love the size and shape of the scratching surface, and they are fighting over who gets to nap on it. My cats are medium size, about 11 pounds, but it looks like there would be plenty of room for a bigger one. And, unlike many other cat beds, this is not a garish, brightly colored design that screams "cat toy". As i write this my grey cat is curled up on it, and she never showed any interest in the original scratching bed. It's a brilliant design, worth every cent.

My cat is obsessed with this thing. I've been using the cheap rectangular scratchers for years with some success, but they're too light, causing them to lift off the floor when scratched, ugly, and destroyed in a month or two. PetFusion has solved all of these problems. It's sturdy, thick, heavy, and does not lift off the floor when scratched. It's attractive enough to not have to hide behind the couch. My cat is in love. I took it out of the box and she immediately ran up and sat on top of it. She runs over to scratch it any time she wakes up, eats, uses the litter box, or just happens to be walking by it. Not only does she love scratching it, but she's napping on it right now. I was a little apprehensive spending $20 on a piece of cardboard but it's completely worth it. I'll probably buy a couple more to keep in other rooms.

It is well built and my cat SHOULD love this but she didn't even notice it. I tried putting it on the side of the room and she didn't use it or even check it out. I tried gently persuading her with the catnip that this scratcher came with, but either that catnip is bunk and it's lawn clippings or she's just not into catnip or the the scratcher/bed. I am disappointed in my cat, not the scratcher. I still find her on my bed and for the note, I do take her off when I find her there. She is not a counter cat.

My two cats like this little thing. I have the larger Ultimate Cat Scratcher Lounge that my cats absolutely love, so I decided to get this smaller scratcher by the same brand. I wanted a smaller one to put on a table by the bedroom window so that my cats can comfortably look out the window. This little thing is a winner. So much so, that I ordered another for the other cat. Both can lay comfortably on it as they watch the going ons outside the window. And most importantly, the scratcher has a cool look.

My cat absolutely loves this thing! He is 11lbs, I got the regular sized one and it is perfect for him to sit on, and to scratch on. I put it in the living room right over the spot in the carpet he kept scratching and after putting the catnip on it and playing with some toys with him on it and pretend scratching on it, he started using it on his own. He will run over to this to scratch rather than just scratching on the furniture nearby and I consider that a win!
