The low, flat rate shipping was great and it was shipped and delivered very quickly. The cage was easy to assemble. Due to its large size, it was a little awkward for one person to assemble, but I was able to put it together by myself in just a few minutes.
I love that it has a side door also. I am able to reach my arm through all the doors, including the food and water doors, which makes it very easy to place nests, seed cups, perches, etc. anywhere in the cage. The bottom tray slides in and out nicely for easy cleaning.
This is a wonderful cage and well worth its price.
One cage is very sturdy and even taking a side off of each to combine the two, they are very sturdy.
The trays slide out nicely even with the two cages wired together. I just love this set-up. There's plenty of doors, three in the front, (one is in the center of the large door) and one on the side of each cage. Counting the large door with the small door in it's center, and the spring door on the side of the cage, there are 5 doors in this cage, and with the two cages together, there are 10 doors (of course :)!! Couldn't ask for more! The only draw back is the doors slide up easily and that might be a problem with birds other than finches. But with a little latch, it'd be no problem at all.
Edited to add: Well I just keep going with this cage. I now have 4 cages (two of another brand) wired together. My birds now have a 5 foot length, by an almost 3 1/2 foot height cage to fly in. This cage is sturdy enough to not only have wired two together (the bottom portion of this enclosure), but adding 2 on top of this enclosure.Read more ›
Before this purchase I received a similar cage from Amazon in lieu of the YML Medium Breeding Cages (lot of 4, white), and loved it!
The trays are easily removed, the cage is easy to clean, and the main entry way is wide enough to place a bowl of water inside for birdie baths :)
I removed the boring dowel rods that run lengthwise of the cage because the birds were always pooping in their food and water bowls. I replaced the rods with a nice grapevine branch that has several thick and thin parts, and offers several levels for the birds to perch.

Worked perfectly for what I needed. We eventually built our own so our bird had much more room to fly. But we still have this for any babies we may come across that need rescuing. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Angel

Great cage for the price. I wish the bottom detached to make cleaning a little easier, but other than that it's a great product.Published 22 months ago by anonymous
