I hadn't read Peter Pan for a long time. I remember thinking it a bit dark. No, not really. But then, I do have a lousy memory.
I remember Mary Martin on stage, joyfully flying, and of course Disney's version: "SMEEE!" ROFL. I had to read it again.
This book just so fully captures childhood and the problem of growing up, in a witty way. If you've never read it, really you must! If you are a fan of Disney's original animated film, or any stage version there has been, then you must read the book!
Some people have been confused about the edges of the pages. This book has deckled edges, which is an intentional design and not a defect. The pages are roughly cut to create an old-fashioned look and feel. If you don't think this is something that you would like, you might want to go for a different edition with smooth edges.
