The destruction of the world following WWIII was just the beginning. .
Loreto and his community inside the Emery Deep Mine in the former state of Utah are just trying to survive. After World War III plunged the world into a seemingly never ending nuclear winter fifty years before, he and other brave souls travel to the surface to look for signs of life or find other survivors. Eventually he finds one, and along with the survivor, he also encounters the Ash Walkers - deformed beings who crave human flesh.
As he and the woman he has found, Atilla, are becoming surrounded and outnumbered by Ash Walkers, they decide to make a run for it. However, they soon discover the Ash Walkers are not the biggest threat to their survival.
Will Loreto and Atilla survive long enough to see the sun again?
Servidio seamlessly blends history, the fantastical, and the science of war in this hauntingly speculative work. With relatable characters and an engaging narrative style, Earth has Fallen is a memorable beginning to the series.
Furthermore, Pasquale is working to recreate the device known as Prototype 863. As the citizens of Toleran celebrate the new hope they have found, they are unaware of the danger approaching from the north. A danger that is two-fold. Ash Walkers being the 1st wave and Michael’s army close behind.
Trying to live in the devastation of the nuclear fallout was not hard enough, now the citizens must also be prepared for the conflict rising.
What is real when emotions can be controlled and people’s thoughts can be altered. Holding on to your sanity is the difference between freedom and slavery, not that you would know the difference. Those who are strong of will can alter the reality of weaker minds, changing the perception of reality. The rich can be made to believe they are poor; the old, young; and the innocent, guilty. Some use their ability for personal gain, some to help others, and some for their own twisted amusement. For Jonas Sanders, a slacker who has never aspired to anything, he must not only discover the depths of his power but also figure out how to use it to save the world.
Gorsomm Highvand stood in the inner sanctuary of the Temple of the Sky Gods and watched the candles flicker in front of the high altar. The rich scent of incense hung in the air, mingled with the perfume from silver vases filled with flowers. The flowers were offerings brought by those who still possessed faith. Their sweet smell reminded him too much of other odors-the stink of sickness and death.
Everything reminded him.
He knelt on the polished marble floor, ignoring the cold that stabbed into his knees like shards of ice. His mind was numb. He had come to the Temple to pray for the pain to end. But now he realized he did not want it to end--for without the pain he might forget Terien.
Orias crumpled to the ground. The pain was too much as it erupted up his arms and throughout his body like streaks of wildfire. As the ebbing wildfire reached his head, his mind exploded with blinding whiteness, obscuring his vision and making him nauseous and dizzy. The pain was like needles that had been dipped in alcohol and jammed through his skin like his extremities had been replaced with ice and electricity wired straight into his spine. Without the ability to control his own body, Orias let out a guttural scream. After mere moments, the pain utterly consumed him. The blackness that engulfed him was a welcome respite from the physical world.
This book deals with physical and sexual abuse as well as mental illness. Reader discretion is advised.

He had killed her, not in a fit of passion or rage. He had killed her slowly to see if he could. To see what it felt like. And he had loved it. As he felt her life ebb out of her body, his hands had tightened around her neck. Each gasp, each struggle, each twitch excited him. Each time his hand smacked her face, ruining it a bit more he felt a jolt of energy. He had felt powerful for the first time in his life, and he wanted to feel it again.
When organizations begin to look at quality management, that they must consider many factors including the business’s environmental management philosophy, quality management practices, and the achievement of excellence. Along with this, the organization must also understand how these items interact with each other. As Molina-Azorín, Tarí, Claver-Cortés, and López-Gamero (2008) put forth, “The highest level of integration and quality can only be achieved when quality management and environmental management lose their independence and act as a single management system (p. 198)” (p.1). Organizations tie this belief directly to their ability to gain competitive advantages in their field.
Gaining a competitive edge is important because it allows for the management team to have the capacity to understand what customers perceive as the value of the product offered, the organization’s ability to achieve financial success, and the business’s overall ability to achieve sustainability (Evans and Lindsay, 2017, p.27; Servidio, 2017, p.1).
In today’s global market there are a number of standards and methods which organizations may follow in regards to providing Total Quality Management (TQM). The international benchmark of the standards was created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) which is comprised of over 160 countries (ASQ, 2017). The ISO 9000 series of standards was initially released in late 1980’s and has been revised over time; yet, the five goals have remained mostly unchanged: meet stakeholder needs, be usable by all sizes of organizations, by usable in all sectors, be simple and clearly understood, and connect quality management systems to business processes (9000 Store, 2016).
