Clothes Have Feelings Too! Charlie Learns to Care for His Things
What I Want to Be When I Grow Up
This amazing children’s book is very creatively written and wonderfully illustrated. The plot is solid and contains a fun rhyming story that kids absolutely love and connect with easily. I read it to my daycare children with ages ranging from 18 months to 6 years old and it was a complete hit! They all sat excitedly anticipating what was going to happen next in the story and asked me to read it over and over again. All of the children asked questions and were relating Peter’s experiences to their own lives. One of the children stated after the story was read that he was going to stop whining and act better at home. I was very proud of him and said that Sherrill would be proud too! This book is a home run when it comes to a meaningful children’s book that relates a powerful life lesson. Children come away from this story feeling empowered and wanting to really exhibit good behaviors and understanding that bad behaviors are not acceptable.
I would highly recommend this children’s book to all parents, all daycare providers, all early learning centers, all schools and all libraries. This is truly a book that can make a difference in a child’s life in an easy to understand format. I cannot wait to read more of Sherrill Cannon’s wonderfully written children’s books!
The author's mother told this story to many children. Sherrill add rhymes to the story and put it in a book. I think she out did herself with this book. I enjoyed this one best out of all her books. It made me laugh because it almost sounded like it could be a rap. I pictured her sitting in a rocking chair rapping this story to kids and making whiney faces like Peter the whiney little rabbit.
I see this book becoming a real classic treasure . Your children will want to hear and read this story over and over again. If you have any whiners you must read them this book to them!
Most of Kalpart's illustrations were on black background depicting night and the Whimper-Whineys characters in the illustrations were hilarious. The Kalpart team did a excellent job of illustrating the tale Sherrill had written.
I highly recommend this book!!
I received a copy of this book from the author and Strategic Publishing Group for review. I was in no way compensated for this review. It is my own opinion.

I think if there was one book to read to children about being whiney, this is it! I loved the re-hashed family story that the author put her own spin to. Read morePublished 17 months ago by Naila Moon
