My cat loves it!

It is impossible to transport my cat anywhere in a carrier. He’s a sweet cat, but turns into a demon in the carrier trying to get out. Last time he actually made his teeth bleed by pulling on the carrier door so vigorously. I thought I would give the crate a try thinking that he would be more calm if he could see out around him. It was A MIRACLE fix. Two totally different cats!! My cat was great in this crate. He didn’t even meow. It was the perfect size for him. He weighs about 9lbs. I’m a small person and thought the crate would be to heavy for me to handle, but it was worked for me too. Love that it has two doors (one on the top and on the side), so you can choose which makes the kitty more comfortable. I have no idea why this cat is so much happier in this crate than a carrier, but it made a huge difference for us!! Highly recommend!

I love this company’s products, really. I ordered my extra small crate when my dog was a puppy from them. It’s fantastic, then I ordered a medium-size crate from a different company without thinking about it and it was so bad, every edge was raw razor sharp cut myself all the time. Had to return it, went back and ordered the medium from this company, just got it today and it’s perfect! I love it, I will never,, ever get a crate from a different company anymore.

Best purchase. Easy to assemble. Medium is perfect size for my 30lb jack russel mix. He is house broken but has separation anxiety and pees when left alone. I put a comfy blanket and his favorite toy in it and treat him when he goes in, he loved it immediately and after a while he is perfectly happy to be closed in at night and when I’m not at home for a few hours. Happy dog, no more accidents.

Love this. I do rescue so I may get another one in a different size because it is so nice and the price is affordable. I ordered Used on this extra small. The box was taped shut as if it had been previously opened but other than that, was in brand new condition. It takes longer getting it out of the box than it does to pop it up and lock the pieces in place.

I have an old dog crate that I've used to house then transport feral cats to the vet. It has been a problem because the tray on it keeps wanting to pop out. Lots of anxiety for me, wondering if the animal will get away before the vet visit takes place.

The tray on this one seems firmly in place, does not move up, down or sideways which I love. Although I ended up not needing it for the situation I ordered it for, I will keep it because it is so nice and will probably get used another time. The fact that it has two doors is fabulous, even more fabulous because of the low price. It folds flat in seconds. Great item!

With the arrival of our new baby we decided to crate train for the first time. We have been pet owners (more correctly pet owned) for over 35 years. Someone has always been home with our little guys to outside potty train and at night slept either in our bed or with one of our kids. This is the youngest and smallest baby we have had (9 weeks and 2.2 lbs) and we didn't feel it was safe to have him in a bed. Our vet recommended crate training. We asked about size and this one fit the bill .... for now as well as when he is fully grown.

Crate arrived nicely packaged and with no damage. Was easy to assemble. We didn't force our guy in but rather placed his blanket and some toys inside. I then let him explore outside the crate and he went in it on his own. While inside I gave him a couple of his training treats. Throughout the day he would go in and out and occasionally I put a treat inside. We locked him in a couple of times while we stayed in the room .... no problems. That night we placed him in his crate, put it beside our bed and he only cried occasionally. I would talk to him and put my hand beside him. He quickly calmed and slept through the night. Now no crying and he is sleeping there. Use crate throughout the day when I have to leave the house or can't watch him. He is doing great.

Used the crate to take him to the vet and it works fine. Sturdy and although not as light as a carrier it serves the purpose and we don't have to buy anything else. Obviously this would not be the case with larger pet or crate.

Well made and great value for the money. Ones of equal quality at big box pet store were quite a bit more expensive. Very pleased with our purchase and Max approved!

First off, it's a huge crate. Originally designed for dogs, I used it to safely transport my cats from Southern Indiana to Texas. My cats litter box and Kittie condo only took up half the space in the crate leaving them room to roam a bit. The crate is easy to open, shut as well as fold up and down. It is now safely stored under my bed. I would purchase it again in a heartbeat!

Last year we adopted a 5 month old American Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier and purchased a Precision Pet "ProValu" Double Door Dog Crate (Series 4000). Our puppy is now 18 months old and has outgrown the 4000 series crate.

So we set about to look at something larger (i.e., the 5000 Series) and we knew that we liked the Precision Pet "ProValu" crate so that was what we compared all the other crates to. The steel is coated so we haven't seen any rust on it as reviewers have mentioned on some of the competitors products, and we liked the double-door idea. We were happy to see that it arrived with a single locking mechanism instead of the ones with the top/bottom locks on each door. To play it safe we took a small lock and as long as one loops it through the handle and a vertical bar of the crate (we don't actually lock the lock) it keeps the puppy from opening up the crate door from the inside.

The new 5000 series lets out dog lay down completely without feeling crunched up, and she can sit upright without hunching forward. We hope she is fully grown so this would be the last crate we get her. The door is only closed at night or when we are gone during the day, the rest of the time it's open and she likes her "space".

This cage is FAR BETTER than I expected. This is the only type of door that my pup can't figure out how to open, yet it is really, really easy for me to open! There is one door on the end, and one door in the middle so you can open it any way you want, depending on the area where it is situated. The bottom is easy to clean, and sits slightly up off the floor, allowing for air to circulate underneath. I have had this crate for several months now, and with pup chewing on the wire, lots of banging and clanging as we move it around, it is still in great shape, looks like new. No rust, no paint knocked off, etc. A very, very good, strong product. Shipped out very quickly. I highly recommend to others.

I loved this crate - my dog did not! I still cannot get him used to this one. He goes back to his cheap, small carrier to sleep in. The main issue is that he has is he having to step into it. The entrance is like a hole they have to step up/crawl into. He struggles with that. If you could just walk right in then I think he would have loved it.

I spent some time trying to get him acquainted with it but nothing worked. Now, I'm stuck with this crate and cannot return it even though he hasn't used it and I have all the packaging and stickers still on, etc. Very frustrating.

I would think hard about what I mentioned above buying this crate so you don't end up stuck with it. I don't usually write reviews but I hope I can help others as I wish I would have known the entrance was like this before purchasing.

flimsy product badly packaged

Bought this product for my 70lb dog, very poorly made and tray was damaged in transit.
The crate itself is very flimsy gauge metal and the plastic tray is thin and brittle.
I re ordered a replacement and this was also damaged in exactly the same way but different place.
Amazon offered a 3rd replacement that would require me to return two 4ft by 2.5ft packages weighing 30lb each or keep all the garbage and get a 50% refund.
I got frustrated and accepted the less hassle option even though it cost me money.......Not happy!
Go to your local store.....buy better product locally

Can't say enough good things. Our pup loves this design. Great airflow and she can still see what is going on. She is completely happy to chew a treat in her crate beside us when we watch a movie. She feels included and we don't have to worry about her getting into trouble or hurting herself while we are distracted.
