Allan Pettersson: Symphony No. 13
The Thirteenth Symphony was created under extremely adverse conditions, in an environment of construction noise and noise nuisance from neighbors. AP was already tied to the apartment as his illness made it almost impossible for him to go down three floors to the street. The one-movement structure, the extremely large resources that are required, and the enormous difficulty for orchestra and listeners, are certainly reasons why this symphony has not been performed in public during a period of 36 years after its premiere in 1978.
This is a new recording of this work made by Markus Brylka in 2014.
When sold by Amazon.com, this product will be manufactured on demand using CD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.

I made a short film to explain the structure of Allan Petterssons 13th Symphony. This film is without words but with some music samples of this recording to give you an overview of these 65 minutes and you can see the complexity of different Golden Ratios (small and big ones) to find out more about this apparently formless 13th Symphony
