Sebastian Luft was born 1969 in Heidelberg, Germany, and has lived, studied, and worked in Germany, the US, Belgium, and Austria. He has been educated at the Universities of Freiburg, Heidelberg, Wuppertal (all Germany), Leuven (Belgium) and has taught at Emory University, Marquette University, the University of Freiburg, the University of Graz, the University of San Juan (Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico), and the University of Cologne. He is currently Professor at University of Paderborn. He has published widely in the areas of 19th and 20th Century European and American philosophy, especially Kant, German Idealism, Neo-Kantianism, Phenomenology, and the Philosophy of Culture.
