First off I just want to say that you should always open your packages right away. I got this package and there was some damage on the box but I didn't think anything of it. Also I bought this on a whim when I saw a great price even though I knew it would be sometime before I build a system in it.
I now finally have all my parts for my new system, I pull out this case and I am treated to the top of the case being crushed. So now that it's been over a year there is no replacing or going after the delivery company. I will be contacting Phanteks and hoping they can send me a replacement top panel.
Now on to the actual case, this is Phanteks on the cheap. This is now my third Phanteks case and I love building in them. From the standoff for the motherboard to holes in the perfect places for routing cables. You can tell this case is on the lower end as you don't get the screws in a tray that separates everything, thinner metal, and the fans are not the greatest. Lastly this is more of a preference than an actual negative but I did not notice that the mounting points for the gpu are on the outside of the case which I am not a fan of as it hinders the ability to put in taller graphics cards and I did struggle with my 1070 ftw card. However for the price I paid if it wasn't for the damage I would be very happy, but seeing how Phanteks took care of me so quickly I would still recommend this product.

Plenty of room for my components and enough height for a Hyper 212 Evo cooler. I really like the PSU shroud too. Most importantly, the front is mesh and you get great airflow which is always the main feature I look for in a gaming case. I love it. It's a big upgrade in size (actually downgrade in size over my old NZXT Phantom Full Tower) and gets me back into the modern age. Reccomended!
Here are the problems I found. First, is mostly my fault. While the case supports a 280mm radiator in the front, it doesn't support my old Corsair 280mm AIO. The top case I/O comes out about 1/2" inch...not a lot but enough where I cannot fit the radiator inside the case. Mounting the radiator on the outside...and the screw mounts don't line up since it's lower than it "should" be. I should have looked closer at the allowed measurements. Had the case too long as life got in the way of building this, so I can't return it.
Second, the clearance for a top radiator is nil. It really is shallow enough for fans only. Actually, it may support a radiator, but I have an MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS motherboard. The raise area at the top of the motherboard prevents installation of any radiator, whether 120 or 140 or larger.
Overall, I like the case (not a fan of tempered glass, but oh well). Make sure you know what exactly fits inside so you can avoid having to pack it up.
With a large air cooled push/pull setup on the CPU, I found the rear/top fans aren't really doing much here. With the front top fan VRAM temp was up a bit and it was blowing cool. I may experiment with blocking that area off completely. A single rear fan seemed to help temps very slightly, so I've left that in only.
Dust filter on the bottom for the power supply with tall enough feet to get some nice airflow (as long as it's not on carpet!), and a vented shroud (important here since otherwise that bottom front fan wouldn't be helping the GPU. A fan on top of this trying to pull air through and direct it to the GPU hurt performance - probably hurting actual airflow pattern despite moving where intended.
Interior cable routing was a breeze, with 3 included velco straps - a nice touch at this price point. Nothing fancy here, but simple and effective.
Power button has a very nice tactile feel, which was a pleasant surprise. No more mushy "just push it till it stops moving" switches.
While the price is great for the performance, you do get what you pay for here; fans are good (noise, airflow, and range of rpm) but not great, and are not PWM. Sheet metal is thin and if your fan has a bit of a buzz, it'll resonate - this is especially noticeable on the top. It will dent/bend easily, so a little care is needed. The glass arrived on mine in perfect condition, but tempered glass takes a little care to handle; a small imperfection can cause it to shatter without any clear indication why when it happens.

I bought the non-RGB person of the case, which only has a single front intake and single rear exhaust. This was okay for me as my original P400A build had a 280mm AIO at the front (plenty of room). When I transitioned back to stock cooler to sell the system (as shown in photos), I did notice that the system would benefit from 2x 140mm or 3x 120mm as front intake. If you're looking for the strong stock performance without adding your own fans, I'd recommend considering the RGB version which comes with 3x 120mm front intake RGB fans.
I did recently switch over to the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh (more in-line with the P500A) for a slightly better build quality, hinged doors, and more room for cable management, but I was thoroughly impressed with the Phanteks P400A.

I have my Full ATX motherboard in, it came with 3 Case fans that were pretty okay in quality. But I replaced them all with Noctua Fans for better and quieter Airflow now It has great Airflow. I would recommend you replace the exhaust fan with Noctua exhaust fan!!!!! I have 4 case fans.
The cable management is also top notch!!
I personally liked how my PC looked when I built it!
You may need extension for your power supply to motherboard, the cpu cable was a bit hard to connect but it eventually worked!!
They built this with quality parts unlike some Cases they use very cheap parts.
