I have a crimping tool and have made my own jumpers but I'm really enjoying the convenience these ribbon cables offer. The length is clearly identified but I do find myself wishing they were longer (something I'll be looking into soon). I've not had any issue with the quality. I appreciate following the standard color code (Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, Gray, White). I would also purchase jumpers that were alternating Red and Black which are typical colors for power and ground. Conveniently I can strip off White and Black pairs which I believe is an alternate color standard for power and ground. Overall, very pleased with this purchase.

Here is the biggest thing to me when it comes to these jumpers. I've seen some where the plastic housing around the clips is a little big to sit right next to each other on some headers. These fit great and give a good contact and if you had to in a pinch you can fit them right onto several components. If your needing some jumpers that are male to female go with these.

These are very handy. I use mostly with raspberry pi projects. Good quality. They come in wide ribbons, but if you want several of a certain color, this type of rainbow ribbon is inefficient. Wanting rainbow colors to match LED color is great, but wanting a black ground for each does not happen, not enough black. The insulation does not hold up to soldering too well. Not that they ever claimed it would. I cut them in half and solder them to other wires and LEDs. The scraps I use on pcb boards. That's where the heat from soldering curls the insulation.

Although as advertised these cables are about 8 inches long that is tip to tip so about 7.5 inches after you plug them into something. They are a bit more stiff than normal bread board jumper wires yet so far this has not caused me any problems. These come all connected into a single 40 wire ribbon so you can peal a single wire if you need it or a group of multiple wires to connect an arduino, sensor, or other device, and with a little creativity you can even get the color codes to make sense. I would purchase this product again.

These have worked great for me in several Arduino breadboard projects. I've used them to connect an RC receiver, Sparkfun's individually addressable RGB LED strip, and just to extend the male-male jumpers in projects where I need a little more distance. I like that it ships as one wide strip, I can just tear off a block of 2 or 5 leads, and they stay together in my project.

If I could change one thing, it would be to put black and red adjacent in the strip, so I could tear off traditional power-ground colored pairs.
