Helped My Neck Pain Significantly!

I have had this pillow for a month now and have purposefully waited to review it because I wanted to see how I liked it over time. Although I am only 25 years old, I have had neck pain for several years, mainly due to stress. However, I was recently in a car accident which exacerbated by symptoms. Over the years, I have gone to several doctors and have had physical therapy. One thing that I realized that was causing my neck pain to worsen--regardless of medical care--was my pillow. I thought that a big, fluffy pillow would be comfortable, so I tried several filled with feathers and then some filled with cotton. Those flattened out quickly and I woke up with neck pain almost daily. I then tried a couple different memory foam pillows, including those that are specifically designed for neck support. They were better than ordinary pillows, but not good enough for me to say that I was completely satisfied. There a several Tempur-Pedic pillows that I thought about trying, but they are so, so expensive. I didn't want to buy a pillow that cost over $100 and risk it not working for me. I did a lot of online research as to which pillow is best for relieving neck pain, and this PharMeDoc Contour Memory Foam Pillow had great reviews, so I decided to try it.
I have been very happy with my purchase so far. I love that there are two different height levels on either side, so you can choose which is best for you. Most nights, I use the smaller side. Especially if I am laying on my back, the larger side causes too much strain to my neck and makes it sore. But some nights, I need more support while side sleeping, and the larger side is perfect for that. Also, I get hot during the night pretty often, so I was intrigued by the cooling gel. The pillow comes with a removable case, which I left on. I also put my own pillow case on top of it for decoration purposes. I cannot feel the cooling gel through the two layers. Perhaps, it would work better if I take the removable case off and just use my pillow case. The memory foam is so comfortable. I've had pillows before that had foam-not memory foam-inside and they are not near as comfortable. When I press my hand down into this pillow, it takes about 5-6 seconds to slowly come back up. It is so plush and comfy because of this memory foam.
I still wake up with neck/upper back pain most mornings, but that is kind of inevitable for me at this point. However, this pillow has helped reduce that pain significantly, and I am very grateful for that! I truly look forward to laying down on it after a long, hard day at work.For anyone looking to have extra neck support, I would highly recommend trying this pillow!

Ok, first off, let me just say that I have been STRUGGLING with migraines the older I get & have bought countless pillows for neck support over the years. Spent up to $100 on a pillow that didn't do anything but cause them. Then I bought this gem. I can almost cry I am so happy. The first night I got it I was scared to try it because the next day was a work day & I didn't want to wake up with a migraine & deal with it at work. I put a pillow case on it & said to myself, "ok, I'm going to see how my neck feels by putting my head on it". I can usually tell the moment I put my head on any pillow that I'm going to have a problem cause my neck feels "funny". However, when I put my head down & closed my eyes, I remember nothing after that. Light on, TV on, passed out. Woke up the next day with less soreness in my neck & it's only getting better with each passing day. I'm a happier person because of it. I am sold on this pillow so much that I want to buy a few more to keep as backups. I'm so afraid that I will never find the same pillow again.

I'm usually pretty bad at giving reviews, but I had to give this one because I was so disappointed and disgusted! The pillow itself would've been great. It was exactly what I wanted, with the exception of a very overwhelming moldy/musty smell. You know that smell when you leave a wet towel in a damp a place where it doesn't dry properly? Or an old cabin up in the woods that your grandparents used to own? Yeah, it's that smell. And it's right next to your face, obviously! I received the pillow today, and I have already printed up my return label for tomorrow!

Terrible chemical smell

Tomorrow will be one week that I've had this pillow. I wish I could share how great this pillow is but I can not. The off gassing is so terrible on this pillow. I have left the pillow on the deck every day all day long to speed up the process with zero results. The pillow looks like it may be comfortable but I'd rather not have a pillow that smells like it will kill me slowly as I am sleeping. Hopfully I will get the chance to try this pillow out. Edited to add : After this review this company reached out to me to tell me that my pillow was recalled for the smell but the smell was not harmful. They also sent me a new pillow. It is now July and I decided to try this pillow. The pillow itself is comfortable but it still smells awful. The off gassing just doesn't stop.

4 months later, the chemical smell is still horrible

Updating review after 4 months...
I had this pillow in my apartment since Feb '17. It's now been about 5 months. It might be a nice pillow but I can't use it due the HORRIBLE chemical smell. It lessened after several months but it's still unusable. My husband begged me to throw the pillow away after only a month or so, but I thought it would eventually be OK. I was wrong. In fact, we both got headaches if we were in close proximity... it was that bad.
It's now in the trash.

Helped my neck pain & headaches significantly! No bad smell at all!

I have tried many, many pillows to ease my neck pain (which then lead to chronic headaches). Some twice as expensive as this one. I prefer a soft smushy pillow but, alas, my neck insists otherwise. One rather pricey pillow I bought from a mail order catalog felt like a boulder under my head. I REALLY like this pillow. Firm enough to provide the amount of support your neck needs without feeling like you're sleeping on a rock. The curves in this pillow support your neck so that is in line with your spine. I have another memory foam pillow with the cool gel but it is flat and did not help neck pain. Depending on your size, the pillow can be rotated (the curve is slightly higher on one end than the other) so that the fit is just right. This has helped my neck pain significantly and therefor, my headaches. I'm wondering if the other reviewers who complained of a bad smell may have all gotten a pillow from a bad batch? I am extremely sensitive to smells and mine was absolutely fine. In fact, I can't recall an odd or unpleasant smell at all-even in the beginning.
