4K Ultra HD performance: Worry free viewing enjoyment
With a 4K Ultra HD platform built from the ground up you can rest assured that your 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player will work flawlessly with other 4K display devices. Featuring HDMI 2.0a with HDCP 2.2 with built-in HEVC and VP9 decoders, your 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player will provide years of 4K entertainment.
HDR: Expanding the possibilities of visual perception
High Dynamic Range technology in Blu-ray Players when connected to a compatible 4K HDR television lets you experience more detail and captivating colors for an even more engaging television experience. More perceivable shades of blacks, whites and all other colors. This boils down to greater perceived brightness and contrast with darker shadows creating a breathtaking image.
More benefits of 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray
Experience television in vivid colorful glory
When connected to Wide Color Gamut televisions with BT.2020 video input support, experience rich colors almost twice as saturated as a standard television, which look more vivid and life-like to enhance the TV viewing experience.
Smoother more realistic color gradations
4K Blu-ray format supports color encoding in 10-bit, which means 4K Blu-ray images can have over a billion colors making movie night an even more delightful experience.
Higher peak bitrate ensures more detail in fast action scenes
4K Blu-ray format supports more than twice the peak bitrate of 2K Blu-ray which comes in especially handy when watching action movies which have fast paced scenes with a lot of detail. The 100 Mbps peak bitrate of 4K Blu-ray provides enough headroom to store the extra data required to encode high detail fast action scenes and avoid block artifacts.
Creed, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc included in the retail box for a limited time.

This player will not play Region Free PAL format DVDs, the Philips BDP5502 will but displays an annoying thin line at the bottom of my Philips 4K TV screen.
On screen menus for the BDP7501 are small and ill conceived, remote is awkward and insensitive.
Not a user friendly device overall.
Setup is simple but not very rewarding.
To be fair, this player is updatable and this one was made in 2016. Onscreen displays are so bad I assume it is an initial OS.
I haven't seen any other 7501s.
There are a number of better choices available, I think this product was designed for the European market and it shows.
Excellent build quality but very austere interface.
I'm really surprised it isn't more flexible, most players have a natural PAL to NTSC converter but they are locked.
I long for the day when we will have the ability to play ALL discs in a REGION FREE world!
I have decided to keep my Philips BDP5502 4K player which is a joy to use compared to the 7501, despite the annoying intermittent line displayed at the bottom or the top of the TV screen (under scanning).
I also very much appreciate its ability to play PAL format DVDs and SOME, NOT ALL Region 2 & B discs.
Very good player but not available here at Amazon unfortunately.
Better days ahead, hopefully Region Free!
I have replaced my Philips BDP5502 player with a badge engineered copy, the Sanyo FWBP807FP (ASIN: B07931LR92).
They are identical physically and operate in the same way except the Sanyo lacks Optical & HDMI audio output and is $94.00 instead of Philip's $148.00.
I use earbuds or I can output my TV's audio to something else if I want.
Sanyo's unit doesn't underscan so no problems with video quality.
Onscreen menus differ and the Sanyo's remote is much smaller.
The Sanyo FWBP807 will play all PAL video format DVDs that are REGION FREE like the Philips BDP5502 clone.
Great player for the price.
