Philips 9008CVS2 9008(H13) Crystal Vision Ultra 2 Automotive headlamps. 2-pack. Original Philips brand halogen headlight upgrades.
Philips CrystalVision was already the upgrade bulb that came closest to the bright blue/white look of HID. Now, improved technology makes CrystalVision Ultra even whiter and brighter, and even closer to the look of HID. CrystalVision Ultra delivers the whitest light available from a halogen bulb. At a color temperature of up to 4,000K, no halogen is whiter. If you want the look of HID, CrystalVision Ultra is the light for you.
Brilliant blue/white HID look from a halogen bulb
For Crystal-Clear Vision at Night
OE Xenon-powered halogens give drivers more increased light output for much better visibility of road signs and hazards. Be safer on the road during night driving conditions with an increased visibility that lets you see potential hazards sooner.
Street Legal HID Look
CrystalVision bulbs are DOT-compliant, meaning they are street legal--unlike some HID conversion kits. Get the look of HID without buying a kit, all with no wiring and no expensive install. The blue-capped bulb creates a distinctive blue reflection, with a brilliant blue/white look of HID at a 4,000K color temperature, making CrystalVision Ultra the whitest halogen you can buy.
Easy to Install
CrystalVision Ultra is easy to install, as it simply replaces the current bulbs in your car. CrystalVision Ultra bulbs are available in the most popular bulb applications, including 880, 893, H1, H3, H7, H11, 9003, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, and 9008.

eventually i plan on installing LED in my 2005 F150 . these will do for now ....
Mine lasted 2.5 years (50k miles) before one burned out, which seemed short (OEM bulbs lasted 8 years). The car has no daytime running lights and thus probably less than half of that was with the lights on, so somewhere under 500 hours of use. Maybe that's a lot to expect, I don't know. If you need good visibility and are willing to pay twice what regular bulbs cost every 500 hours, it's worth it.
So far, I'm very pleased with these. So much better than the factory bulbs. Nice bright, pure white bulbs.
The factory bulbs were still going at 3 years and 120,000 miles so we'll see how long these last. I'll update when they burn out.
Whiter = Yes
I was super excited to install these and see the difference. I was let down when I saw the light thrown out. It is not brighter in terms of lumens put out (measurement of how much light it throws out). It is the same as the old OEM bulbs I took out. It is whiter in color, due to the coating on the bulb, but this doesn't mean it is brighter. The color is good as it is closer to daylight, and it does show the cutoff from the light housing.
It does not perform well in the rain, as the white color does not cut through the rain well. Regular 4300K bulb does a better job, and for fog lights a 3000K bulb does the best in rain.
Overall, if you want a whiter looking bulb, this is a good bet, but at more twice the price of regular bulbs, I will be returning it and picking up a pair of DOT SAE approved NOKYA.
