Update: 2 of 4 bulbs have failed after two months of normal use. I estimate they lasted around 400 hours each. After removing them from the fixture they were extremely hot (too hot to hold in a bare hand) at the base. Be careful!
I have purchased 3 lamps.
The first one overburned on the first day of use. Worked only 3 hours!
The second one after one week of utilisation.
Very bad product.
Don't recommend you to use it!
I started smart home-ing with the GE Link bulbs via the Wink Hub. I still like the Wink Hub, but after testing these bulbs out in comparison to the GE Link, these win, big time.
Ability to cut them on all at once - Link pops on one by one, so if you have a multi-light fixture, or several lights in one room, Hue allows you instant lighting vs. Link makes it a slower process.
Ability to have them fade in / fade out - Hue lets you set the lights to a timer, and you can have them fade in or fade out with a specified time window. I've started using the lights as a sort of alarm clock. When it turns 6 AM, the lights in my bedroom start fading in, increasing to 100% brightness over 5 minutes. The result is a gentle wake, instead of a blaring alarm. Your body naturally responds to light as it rises, and once you try waking up this way you'll never be able to go back. I've also set them up to automatically start dimming close to bed time. That way, my body starts understanding it's time to get drowsy and it helps me fall asleep faster. Link does not have this capability - you can set them to turn on at a certain time, but they won't fade in or out like these do.
Superior light color - These have a crisp, white, daylight appearance. They don't alter colors of items around them, and the light is pleasant...not at all blue or yellow. Link bulbs are on the yellow end of the spectrum and the resulting color output is not as pleasant.
You do need the Philips Bridge to make these work. The Link bulbs work with the Wink Hub directly, without requiring a second bridge/hub.
Most functionality is controlled with the Hue app, not the Wink App. If you want the smoothest connection to your Wink products, this might not be the product for you. I use these in conjunction with a few Friends of Hue color strips and so the app is necessary. Wink App only lets you turn them off or on, see the status, and dim or brighten them. You cannot use the Wink App to set up alarms, geofencing, or robots with these. Big bummer there, for me. The Hue App does all of that too, but it just requires a second app and a little bit of back and forth that should be eliminated for two products that claim to work "seamlessly" with each other.
I would still buy these again, knowing what I know now. Even if you don't use them as a connected home bulb, the light they put off is just very, very good.
