After experimenting with several brands, I like Philips hue the best. Most of these bulbs have a reset sequence where you turn it on and off, but the problem I found with other brands is that after a thunderstorm, it will often reset the bulbs and you have to reprogram them. Also, other brands require a hub and/or app, which makes it impossible for a newbie.
Also, the Philips hue are easy to reset, like if you change your network name. In the Alexa app, you just select the Philips light. In the upper-right hand corner is a help icon. That icon takes you to a page where you can enter the 6-character hex code, which is next to the QR code on the bulb.
