We have a lot of Hue bulbs and lamps, and I really enjoy their flexibility and color throughout our home. When I saw the Infuse, it looked perfect for our newly-configured entryway, and after waiting through all the stock shortages we finally got one. Eh.
Philips "writes" instructions as IKEA does - since it's international they do it only with drawings. Well, they're no IKEA. Tiny drawings, difficult to make out, and not the sturdiest of lamps to begin with. With a magnifying glass we finally decoded all the intricacies of the install, and had it wired. Then we tried to screw the light onto the bracket.
Can't see the bracket, no points to line up, this took many tries. But success! We got the light started, and rotated it into place... and the whole bottom of the light unscrewed and came down in our hands.
Another 15 minutes of analyzing how the diffuser and the outside band fit into the outer lamp assembly, and we finally got the thing up. It does not have the best fit between the 3 major pieces. Honestly, the Home Depot cheapie LED ceiling fixtures went together better than this did.
I can now set up scenes, and do all the cool Hue things, but I am not in love with this fixture. Hue is always unreasonably expensive, and this one is simply over the top for what you get.
Definitely no more than 3 stars, more like a 2.5. Sorry to say.
This review was for the Hue Infuse in white, then somehow shoved it onto this fixture, which I don't own. No idea how that happened, as they say I'm a verified purchaser.
