      1. Battery life is a joke. I charged it to 100% the other day only to find it had gone to zero the following day. I’ve reduced all settings to lowest possible to preserve battery life, compromising features in the process. Longest I’ve gotten is 3 weeks, not 3 months as claimed in the documentation.
      2. Rarely can connect over cellular. Even when battery life and WiFi signal strength shows as 100% and Excellent. Connection over WiFi is better, but not 100%. Not helpful when you’re trying to monitor from a remote location.
      3. When I can connect on live view, audio doesn’t play sound from the room where the camera is installed but, rather, simply plays whatever happens to be playing recently on my phone (podcasts, Spotify, etc.)
      4. Doesn’t work, even when it’s “working.” I bought these for use at a seasonal cabin I own. Even when battery life and signal strength were both good, it failed to register when a contractor visited my property while I was away, or when I arrived at the property on my last few visits. Who knows what else it’s missed.
      5. Bottom line: don’t bother. For the extremely expensive up front price combined with the not insignificant subscription fees for enhanced functionality, this camera isn’t worth it. At all. A shame, too, as I’m a big fan and extensive user of the Hue lighting products.

      Nice design, love the integration with my other Hue products within the Hue App, and a very promising direction for Philips to go in. However, I did not find this product to be effective at its primary role of being a security camera.
      Issues:
      1. It does not buffer and record enough video prior to the event. When I go back to watch recordings the person who walked into the frame and triggered the camera is already mostly out of frame before the beginning of the saved video, making it next to impossible to ID anyone or anything.
      2. The Hue server that saves video and relays it to my Hue App is extremely slow. This is common with home security products, but in this case it is so slow that I am unable to watch videos 1/2 of the times I try. Most of the times I try I am on 5G trying to view an event that triggered the camera at home while I am away on trips.
      3. Not receiving notifications of events. This might be a setting I need to adjust, and I have been trying to find what it could be, but my Hue motion detector works fine. It’s just the camera that is not generating notifications when it is triggered.
      4. The battery does not last as long as advertised. I am getting 2weeks to 1 month per charge and I decided to just permanently plug it in. However, the one I purchased from here was refurbished, and I can easily plug mine in, so not the end of the world.
      Overall I am going to keep it and support hue in the direction they are going with this line of products. All of the issues I am having can be fixed in software and server side. I like the hardware. I don’t currently find it reliable the software reliable.

      I have other Hue products so this security camera integrated well into my system and worked well for me. The picture was comparable to other smart home brands and did a pretty good job at night. It was easy to install and setup and hasn't had any connection issues.

      I'm not real happy with this camera. I have used a few different types and my experiences with others have been more positive. Negatives: price, limitations due to app access, night video quality. I don't have any other Hue devices, so it stands alone, but it would be better to be able to integrate it into the rest of my existing system. Maybe there is a way, and I missed it. It is easy to set up. There is a magnet that holds it in place and allows you to set the position easily. I am a little concerned about relying on a magnet because the camera position can be moved by anyone. I will probably replace this with something else, but if I was happier with the performance I would consider purchasing other Hue devices to work with this one.

      Overall the camera's are pretty good but if you have two locations (home, lake, river, cabin, etc), with different wifi addresses, etc choose another system. To have more than one you need to have separate email addresses, pay id's etc. This is a pain if you want two locations all on your one phone. It's doable but unless they improve on ease of adding set up, monitoring for multiple locations, find a different system.

      Absolutely terrible product and almost worse customer service.

      I can’t say enough bad things about this camera. The connection is AWFUL. Phillips will try every trick in the book to troubleshoot but it’s just the camera. Mine was placed next to my router and had “excellent strength” and still couldn’t connect (1000 mbps internet). The battery life is non existent. After a few days it will be down to 50%, maybe lasts 5 days until it needs to be charged. The magnet mount doesn’t hold well, the camera moves around. The picture quality is bad. The app is not developed well. The motion and activity zone features never worked. Every single thing was a bad experience.

      This was my second camera after Phillips tried to replace the original, still the same issues. Their customer service is very robotic like and it’s like talking to a wall. Before my current replacement was received, they sent the complete wrong model and color the first time. I gave them a chance to make it right and they shewed me away.

      They need to stick to lighting because this is a complete fail. For the price of this product, it’s robbery.

      In the market for a new camera if there’s any recommendations!
