On workdays I use my headset probably 4-6 hours per day. I need reliability and comfort in the sound and fit. I need to be heard clearly as well.
I travel for work a good amount. I need my headset to be something I can manage quickly, even if stuffed in the pocket of my jacket.
I love electronic music with deep bass.
This headset seems to handle all of those things as well as any earbuds will.
Things it does well:
THE PURPLE COLOR IS SWEET.
The sound is outrageously good. I cruised some web forums of folks who are real headphone nerds and the prevailing attitude seems to be that Philips has been putting out high quality earbuds consistently lately. These sound great. Clear highs, nice full bass.
For being earbuds, they will eventually make my ears tired, but I knew that going in so I don't dock them points here. Per the usual there are S/M/L ear-caps included. The small ones fit me okay.
The stuff I am disappointed in:
The flat cable does seem a bit less prone to tangles, but not by much. It will take a while of use before it loses the kinks it formed in the package.
The magnetic back on the earbuds isn't very strong, so I don't see it being really helpful in organizing.
The hang-up button on the microphone is a little loose. So it rattles audibly if I'm moving around. For that it loses quite a bit of attraction for me.
The plastic blob in the cable where the R/L earbuds fork apart from the main cable is exactly in the middle. Probably nobody else cares, probably nobody else
The flat cord is actually useful, because it keeps the headphone wires from untangling. I also love the detachable y divider, which lets you keep your headphones from becoming a mess. The magnetic feature is a nice touch, especially when I'm listening to music with one earbud (I use to tie the headphones into a knot at the end to keep the other earbud from flailing around). One earbud also has 3 dots on its handle, so you can differentiate between left and right without looking. The music control works great for my Galaxy SIII and the angled 3.5mm connector keeps it out of the way when I play games in landscape.
I am no audiophile, but any music I listened to sounds great! The original sound seems flat, but that doesn't really concern me because I use equalizer to adjust the sound anyway. The quality is not the same as other $200 headphones, but it is great for the price.
I love these headphones and I would recommend them to anybody for its design and function. Especially when they're only $25 a pair.
These headphones are very bass heavy, but they sound pretty good. They have a nice clear sound. They fit very well in my ears and come with three pairs of ear caps to get the right fit. I like the shape of the earbuds as it makes them easy to grasp and place and position in your ears. The flat cord and the magnetic earbuds work well together to prevent tangles. Recommended.
Great bass quality with amazing balance through middles and treble... Had to get another pair as everyone in my house kept using them without my permission.
The sound quality is good, one of the best I've experienced (granted I've only spent $30 on headphones)
Only thing I noticed is that the wires are flat rubber that sometimes get stuck to my shirt and other things. It's an interesting concept (compared to the smooth wires) but I'm not sure I like it, it also is supposed to not tangle, but when I stuff them in a bag one of my old earbuds came in they get tangled and tend to take more time to unwrap because the rubber is flat and sticky.
All in all I would recommend these and am very happy I was able to get them. Looking at the product page the colors are pretty cool too so if they come down in price I might hand these over to my husband and grab the purple ones.
With that being said, the quality is fantastic. The iPhone mic piece works perfectly. My friend told me that it sounds like I am not even using an external speaker.
The sound quality is great as well. I has Sennheisers before this, same pricepoint, and they sound just as good. I am very pleased with these!

Really long cord from the Y split. The slider is pointless.
I like the sound. They are good for the price.
I tent to abuse my headphones a lot so I need a new pair every few months. But this pair lasted for a LONG time. Sound quality is great, bit more bass than treble. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Amazon Customer

These are some of the best headphones you can buy for the money! Rich, deep bass sound. They sound just as good as my Bose headphones I paid 3x's as much for.Published 21 months ago by jjrevers
Not horrible, but not great. For the price (or a few dollars more) you can do much better. The mids are muddy compared with Sony MRD-EX 210 (which are a bit pricier), and no... Read morePublished 23 months ago by Richard Mcnulty
