International Addresses: Magazine subscriptions offered at Amazon.com can only be shipped within the 50 United States, APO/FPO address and U.S. Protectorates. We are unable to process magazines to other destinations at this time. Please contact the magazine's publisher for further assistance.
When to Expect Your First Issue: Magazine subscriptions ordered at Amazon.com are shipped to you by the magazine's publisher. The first issue of a weekly magazine should arrive within 4-6 weeks of your order. The first issue of a monthly magazine should arrive within 12-16 weeks, unless otherwise noted.
Once you've placed an order at Amazon.com, it can take one to two weeks for your subscription to be received and scheduled by the publisher. Your subscription is then added to the publisher's next production cycle and shipped via standard mail. For example, if your monthly subscription was ordered and received by the publisher in November, and the December issue has already shipped, your order may be added to the January mailing. You can find out more information, including how to contact the publisher about your subscription, in Amazon's Magazine Subscription Manager.
Renewing Your Subscription: If you are ordering as a renewal to the same name and address as the current subscription, the publisher will add the Amazon order to your current subscription. For example, if you have 5 issues left and you add 12 through Amazon, you will now have 17 issues left on your subscription. Please note that the expiration date in the Magazine Subscription Manager will not reflect if you were already on file with the publisher. We will work with the publisher to ensure that you still receive all of the issues left on your subscription.
Publication Frequency: Magazines which show "irregular" availability are those which are not published according to a regular schedule. If you place an order for such a magazine, you will receive new issues as soon as they are available.
- Control your subscription settings anytime using Amazon's Magazine Subscription Manager.
- If you purchase the auto-renewing offer, your subscription will renew at the end of the current term. Before it renews, we will send you a reminder notice stating the term and rate then in effect. Cancel anytime.

Would you read over 500 book reviews a month? The staff at Bookmarks do, and we distill the results into each issue of the magazine. Our readers enjoy summaries of hundreds of opinions from every major newspaper and magazine for a comprehensive look at the latest fiction, nonfiction, and children's books.
We look at classic books as well. Our "Book by Book" author profiles focus on the major works of extraordinary writers, from Charles Dickens and Mark Twain to Franz Kafka and Virginia Woolf. Bookmarks also covers genres from the best American biographies to great mystery series, and we consult a new team of experts for each issue to recommend the best books on a specific nonfiction subject: consciousness, games, ancient Greece, magic, travel, true crime--you name it.
Since the best books often become known by word of mouth, Bookmarks publishes unique lists of our subscribers' favorites--they uncover terrific, little-known gems. Each issue also features a profile of a different book club discussing the books its members loved...and the ones that caused the most awkward silences.
Bookmarks is a colorful, smart, decidedly unstuffy guide to the best in new and classic books.
Bookmarks magazine is a great gift for any discerning reader in your life who doesn't necessarily have the time to research all of the novels on the market to choose the next great book to curl up with at night. You'll find compiled research from over 500 reviews each month in this periodical, all formatted in a way to allow you to make an informed decision on what every member of your family should check out next. Within its pages are articles discussing newly published stories, as well as classic tales that you may have not had the opportunity to read in the past.
Bookmarks magazine features a special section that focuses on legendary writers and their works. It goes behind the scenes of conventional reporting, giving you an in-depth look at favorite novels and the story behind the book. You may be intrigued by a book you never thought about reading before, after you peruse some of these articles. They are also a great tool to get your children more enthusiastic about reading the classics.
Bookmarks magazine showcases the best recently published books. The editors go through hundreds of reviews from respected newspapers and major magazines to find the most exciting new contenders in the literary world. This publication covers all genres, including picture books and chapter books for children, alluring nonfiction works about current events, and breathtaking fiction series for adults. You'll also be able to decide some of its content, as the magazine publishes what its subscribers currently consider the best works gracing their personal bookshelves. You may even be able to get your local book club featured in a special section that runs in every issue.
A subscription to Bookmarks magazine makes it easy to share your passion for reading with every member of your household, as well as anyone who visits it.

For example, Freedom was heavily covered in Bookmarks, as well as everywhere else. But many other new titles, some much better IMHO were published at the same time. If you'd like to read about those, you have to dig deeper. The London Review of Books and/or The New York Review of Books are better values, as is The New Yorker magazine for variety.
There are fun features such as the monthly "Selections" "Coming in Paperback", "Awards", biographies on authors and my favorite section: "Coming Soon" books. My only recommendation for the magazine is that "Coming Soon" section be doubled as there's plenty of information available on books already out, but bibliophiles love to know what they don't know about books and don't have easy access to--what books are going to be published in the next 6 months?
Loved the "Best of 2011" chart in the most recent issue in which a chart of the best books of 2011 selected by the major publications are listed.
It's great to have book selections with choice excepts from a mix of reviews from leading newspapers and outlets combined with this magazine's summary of the book. As long as I keep reading, I will keep subscribing to this magazine.
