It should be noted that the nonprofit Internet Archive has this same Kindle translation as a free DjVU, Kindle, EPUB and PDF download, and seemingly with far fewer typos (scanning issues I suspect) and a much more extensive ability to search, copy etc. the text. It's a little disappointing that this Kindle edition of a freely available public domain text is not free (or the minimum 99 cents?), while at the same time isn't adding any value to the free text, which is why I've given this version three stars instead of five.
In summary, to understand and appreciate this wonderful work of God, you require three things at minimum: 1) Humility, repentance, and keeping the commandments; 2) An Eastern Orthodox paradigm/perspective (not Oriental Orthodox, nor Orthodox Judaism, nor any other religious sect); and, 3) A spiritual father who will guide you in your readings, questions, and application of new spiritual rules.
I hope this helps. By the grace of God, in Christ,
Super book, highly recommended for Catholic Benedictine oblates.
