by Isadora Montrose
What a heartfelt and emotional story. This book is extremely entertaining and enjoyable read. It's a exhilarating, rousing surprise and full of intrigue. Isadora Montrose creates a magnificent story that promises to be an amazing paranormal series-The Phoenix Aflame Alpha Phoenix Book 2! Col. Harrison D’Angelo is a dominant, sexy, extremely handsome ALPHA Phoenix Shifter, he is a Billionaire who is a single father because he lost his mate and two sons. Tasha is a BBW strong, smart and a divorcée, but she is determined not to remarry. She also have a daughter and their little girls are best friends. Unfortunately someone is trying to kill Tasha and Becky both. But the sparks are flying between Tasha and Harrison. They butt heads from the moment they are introduced which only adds to the immediate attraction for both. They are both wanting different things in life and both terrified it will never happen. Tasha has a very sweet personality with a lot of deep feelings and a huge heart. Where as Col. Harrison is a good looking guy just taking day by day with no look into the future. But the chemistry between these two is so HOT, that they don't even realize it's there and it's off the charts. Which heats up every page you turn. I enjoyed how Isadora Montrose builts up the tension between these two. Harrison sweeps Tasha and her daughter Becky into his protection of their family compound for the Fourth of July. To protect curvy Tasha and keep his young daughter with him, widower Harrison suggests a marriage of convenience. Because he has no idea that Fate has granted him not just a bedmate but a second true mate. But after the small ceremony Harrison has no intention of offering Tasha immortality and the Gift of the Phoenix. But when the necessary forces urge him to share his immortality with his new wife, their destiny is altered forever. Harrison now has to figure out how to keep his wife and daughters alive while earning the love he claimed not to want. What a story it's heartwarming, sexy and emotional, and beautifully romantic, and definitely strong enough to stand on its own. I loved it! WOW Thank you Isadora for this wonderful even more thrilling and captivating than the last! Buy this book and then hang on! This is a story more than worth it!
Tasha is a newly divorced single mom with a jerk of an ex. He calls her one hour before she and her daughter leave on their flight for the visitation with him and tells her he is flying to Hawaii on business. Tasha has to cancel her vacation plans to go to Georgia. Her daughter is sad until her best friend and her grandmother invite them to come out to their ranch to visit. Becky and Quincey are inseparable. Tasha and the girls drive up to the ranch but on the way her brakes quit working and they crash but thanks to Tasha's defensive driving lessons she saves then from serious injury. Hearing about his daughter's car accident brings back nightmares to Harrison and he is investigating if Tasha is a bad driver.
A quick study of her past shows that this is the second accident that she has been in this year. Someone is out to get Tasha.
Harrison is having strong protective feelings towards Tasha and Becky. He even proposes marriage to Tasha not because he loves her but it would help both of them. Tasha and Becky would get a protector, Becky would get a good dad, Quincey would get a mom and they would all move in together so he could keep his daughter with him. Tasha is afraid to marry without love but Harrison is certain he doesn't want to love and lose again.
This is a great book with lots of twists and turns. Tasha is a human who needs to adjust to the shifter world and to a big family. Harrison is a man trying to cope with humongous loss. I really enjoy this series. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
