Broke after 7 months, replacement broke again after 5 months, same flaw. Do not buy it: useless.

The case is sturdy and good looking but it is has design flaws and manufacturing errors. The design flaw is that the hole for the headphone jack is too small: only the Apple earpods will work with this case. If you are using any other headphones, you are out of luck. Also, the product seem has a low quality of production. Mine stopped working after 7 months because the micro USB slot stopped working. It did not accept a charge anymore. Other reviews here suggest that this is not a rare occurrence. The manufacturer has a very convenient replacement policy (for them): you pay for the postage both ways. The replacement that arrived had the same problem after a few months later: the micro USB is broken again, this time in middle of a long trip where I was relying on the case. Now, I will have to pay again for the postage both ways to get a replacement which will have the same flaws. Effectively, the manufacturer is selling a low quality product and charging the customers to pay when they want it replaced.

I purchased this product after reading reviews and it was rated one of the best. Well I have to say I have been very disappointed in it. I purchase this 3 weeks before I went on a extended trip to Italy. It arrived, I followed the instructions and it worked well enough, or so I thought. My friend purchased one also on my recommendation.

The second day I was in Rome, my iPhone suddenly battery was drained. I turned on the Phonesuit and it was dead also...and it was draining my iPhone battery! I contacted the company stating my problem and they said send it to them but I had to pay shipping and send all the packing material, cables and instructions that it came with back to them before they would send me a new one! That is just wrong. I had to wait until my Italy trip was over and I was back home before I could send it back to them. I did and they noticed me that I had to pay the shipping for them to send me a new one! That is just wrong again!

Then to make matters worse, my friends Phonesuit failed after 3 months.

I really don't recommend this product or company.

The Phonesuit Elite 5 case worked much better for me on my iPhone 5S than the Lenmar Meridian (which I previously purchased). It seems slightly thinner and lighter than the Lenmar. Unlike other reviewer comment, the curved bottom design and headphone jack access of the Phonesuit 5 worked with all the earbuds and 1/8*' headphones I have. I also like the rubber protective coating on the outside of the case (which is similar to the Lenmar) and makes for an easy grip, and the fingerprints on the case aren't too bad. But the most important feature of all verses the Lenmar is the pass-through charging and micro-USB port sync. On the Lenmar, the USB port is "charge only" (you cannot sync or access the phone with the USB port). If I had more closely researched the Lenmar, I would not have purchased it.

Well thought out charger case

Just what I was looking for. The phone slides in and is secure with minimal hassle. The plastic is on the edge of being soft so the phone feels like it has protection from drops but the case is not mushy. The case charges the phone faster than when I charge from other sources. The clever shaping of the case lets me plug in the ear phones with out an adapter. The weight is minimal and the LED cues for current charge are easy to read.

Accomodates 90 degree headphone cords!

This is an easy on - easy off case with a rubberized non-slip coating. It uses a micro USB charging cord to charge the case, and charges the phone first.
The case offers good protection and probably reduces the chance of drop damage (but I'm sure not going to test it on purpose).
Access to the mute button is more difficult, meaning you will have to take it out of your pocket to reach the switch. The case won't auto-charge. You have to push and hold a button on the back of the case to initiate a charge from the case, and it will either charge the phone to 100% or run it's battery to zero, and then stop.
All of my headphone cords fit this case, including a pair of Velodyne ear buds with a 90 degree headphone cord, which is unusual for a battery case. I bought this case (and then another one for my wife) based on a recomendation from the Wirecutter (an external review site that links to Amazon product pages).

Does The Job, Is not ergonomic!!

First off i didn't give this item 3 stars because it has poor performance, well sometimes, i would have to disconnect and reconnect it for it to register...besides that its a beautiful case.. i purchased it when it was 89$, kinda hefty. First off if you have a iPhone with Zagg Clear class on the front and the back like i do on my iPhone 5s it will be a very tight fit, and my top piece won't snap together,(thats my iPhone because i have glass on it) .... i was excited to get the white because it would match my gold iPhone but the appearance is not that great.. yes it does offer a great charge but for me its much to thick, ( all battery cases with over 2200 mAh will be thick ) i might move to a lower mAh.. also the hole for the headphone jack is very small and awkward... you can fit ur apple EarPods and maybe the beats jack but other than that you will need to be careful with other headphones or Aux cords you use... This wouldn't fit my Monster Aux cord,( Thats a very universal cord and it doesn't fit?!?! ) and lets not get started with the extreme difficulty to access the silent button, no I'm not some fat guy with butterfingers i have very skinny bony fingers and this is a struggle to with on and off... Overall its not the unction of the product i don't like.. its the build of the case...
