I needed a photo frame for my Dad's Memorial.

I needed one that would run for a while without being pluged in.

This frame lasted about an hour and a half playing video.
That was as expected.

What I did not expect was that when pluged in the frame will not start again untill it is fully charged.
mine took over an hour...... The Memorial was over.

Oh,
and the box clearly states that this frame supports SD and USB.
I was shocked when customer service told me,

"No. These are just holes in the side"......

Last time I tried to warn prospective buyers, Amazon rejected my entry.
So you may never see this.
I will continue to waterdown my outrage untill it meets with Amazons approval.

This is the 6th Photospring frame I have purchased. They have all been for gifts. This one is the newest model so I had concerns. It has new features which I like such as the option for either a black or white frame after you bought it. In other words, you can switch them. There are two different ways to stand the frame. Still uses the same app which is very user friendly. Three of us loaded pictures on the frame before giving the gift (all via the app). In no time, we had 343 pictures and it is only 8% full. It is easy to delete pictures. It recognizes duplicate pictures. I cannot recommend this frame enough. I was given a digital frame as a gift and returned it, and purchased this one because it is so much easier to set up. Buy it, you will not be disappointed!!

I received my frame today and noticed immediately that the box was open. Where there should be stickers holding the box together is a sticky mess of hair and the stand inside the box is covered in dust and hair. Not only is this disgusting, I’m very annoyed to receive a used item when I paid for a new one. I can’t speak to the quality of the frame because I’m returning it.

After heavy research on photo frames (PhotoSpring, Pix-Star, Nixplay, Cevia, Skylight, Feelcare, Aura), we settled on the PhotoSpring due to its good screen resolution, large storage capacity, wide format of supported image files, sound and most importantly, its battery life which allows it to be used as a tablet when you want to scroll through the images. In most cases, the PhotoSpring met or surpassed our expectations. Sending images to the PhotoSpring is as easy as an email or loaded via a web browser that then downloads to the frame. Load speeds are acceptable and the frame continues to operate while images load in the background. It is simple to use, easy to setup and should be great for gifts to great grandparents. The only negative is the PhotoSpring application. It is incredibly buggy and does not interact well with a Mac. That said, it's not necessary to use this app - works great just loading via alternate mechanism. Great product, just needs some software refinement.

I bought this product because I wanted to periodically send my parents, who live 400 miles away, high-quality pictures and videos of their granddaughter. And while it does technically allow that, the experience is so frustrating that it's not worth it.

I tried three methods of sending pictures to it: 1) email, 2) PhotSpring's website, and 3) Windows application. I didn't even bother with the phone app. None of them give any sort of confirmation that the photos have made it to the frame. I haven't given it to my parents yet, it's still here with me, so I could see every time I sent something that never reached it. You basically send it and cross your fingers.

There's also no way for you to check. The website has a "Manage Your Frame" page that's supposedly tell you how many photos and videos are on it, but in my experience it usually said "0 photos/videos." Sometimes it *would* say how many where there but not *which* ones, what date they were sent, how big they were, or any other way to identify them.

Lastly, I don't see any way to remove old photos and videos. So once it's full... what? I guess I can't send them any more? Call my 70-something year-old parents, the ones that couldn't/wouldn't figure out how to make the VCR stop flashing 12:00, and ask *them* to delete some?

The reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one is because, when it does work, it's nice. The pictures look good. The videos play smoothly. It's too bad the service isn't better.

Perfect gift for grandparents

This is an amazing idea and gift for grandparents. Multiple people can use the app (with code that links the app to the frame) to wirelessly send pictures. My husband and I purchased this for my mother in law and I was able to set up an account easily and send pictures, my sister in law also is able to send pics directly to the frame through the app. If you are giving this as a gift to a non-tech savvy parent, I would highly recommend taking it out of the packaging and setting it up beforehand before gifting. It is pretty intuitive and the touch screen walks you through pretty seamlessly, but I am definitely glad I did it. The frame can be used horizontally or vertically and can also dock/charge either way. The only thing I don’t love is that the picture- sending process could use some improvement. When you send pics, they don’t automatically go to the screen, the owner has to see the alert and then “accept” the pictures. I didn’t see a way to turn this feature off so many times my mother in law doesn’t see the pictures unless I tell her I sent them so she can go accept them.

I LOVE my PhotoSpring. I had purchased one for my Dad who was in hospice so that I could send him pictures and videos whenever I wanted to let him know we loved him and were thinking of him. He loved it. However, I realized that we should have one too. In this day and age we are always snapping pictures but I realized that I rarely look at them again afterwards. Now I have a PhotoSpring in my kitchen and the whole family enjoys seeing the pictures and videos! The best part is the app on my phone so when I take a pic i can just shoot it to the frame in a flash. SO EASY! My entire family loves this frame, young and old and with Christmas coming this is really a great gift for the whole family!
