Most of the pro-photo shooters will use a light meter to control the light source, however the light meter information is not provided. This is the biggest omission in the book since you cannot correlate lighting information to a particular effects you looking for. It will be nice to add something like group A, 1/250, F9.5 @ ISO100, group B, 1/250 F8 @ ISO100 and camera 1/250 F11 ISO100.
I guess the most important thing is the lighting diagram and the pictorial themselves. However, the book is mainly on confined studio shots and lacks outdoor shots as well.

This is a good book, definitely not for beginners, and some of the setups shown are ridiculously overimplemented.Published on September 9, 2007 by Justin M. Berman
