The only thing I want buyers to be aware is this particular item says "rubber mat" backing. I have ordered 4 faux mats and all the ones I have weigh 11.5 pounds and lay beautifully. (I didn't pay attention to description, I "assumed" this was the same, my fault :) ) I assumed that it was a heavy duty mat to roll and take to next photo shoot. This particular mat weighs 7 pounds and the back is like a heavy felt or a light light rubber, I need to have it open and put heavy books or furniture on it in order for it to lay correctly, which won't do good for me when I have to reroll it for location.
So in short if you need the HEAVIER ones, this isn't the same, if it is for studio only and you don't need to re-roll it then it is a vivid and good mat. :)
I just wish a few things could be changed. IT HAS A VERY FOUL SMELL straight out of the bag we had to leave it out for several days to air out. You feel awkward placing a sweet newborn on a stinky chemical smelling mat. Sent free homemade febreze fixed this issue for the most part.
Another con is that since it's tightly rolled it doesn't always lay flat very easily. This problem is solved by making sure you have weights with you either bean bags or heavy studio clips do the job nicely.
Also the picture does not match the mat I received. the spacing of the "planks" are much larger than pictured in the picture of the product alone.
