She is an eighth-generation descendant of DAR Patriot, Mary Shirley McGuire, the inspiration behind the Dangerous Loyalties series. Phyllis loves her family, pets, road trips, history, and playing games with her grandchildren. Her adventurous childhood through seven states created her vivid imagination and a love for stories about people who have overcome hardships.
