Until this book I have never had my doctor or specialist profoundly state how sugar is a must to elimate in my diet referring to my arthritic knees .. I've cut my use of sugar down almost to nothing in the last four weeks and have felt the most miraculous healing .. I have only this physician and this book to thank.
This should be preached from the Mountain Top , set on stone , and should be engraved as the first commandment from any doctor having a patient complain of joint pain ..
    Thank You Dr. Schneider !!

A Surprise! I didn't expect to be so pleased with this book. It really isn't an apology, but encouragement to ask and sometimes doubt what your doctor tells you. Funny how we have been taught just to take a pill to "cure all" if that is what we are told! This practical little book gives us permission to question or change doctors. There is such good advice from Dr. Schneider, the author, on what to look for, how to go about a wellness plan and get started at feeling and doing better in all aspects of our lives. Lots of it we already know, but it is good to hear it again. This is a very positive book that should be read over and over, like a "shot in the arm" to feeling better from within!

I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review

I've always had suspicions & fears of the whole medical system for good reason from personal experience & this author backs up my fears. Good practical information to take control of your own health & seek out a doctor who genuinely cares. Find an integrative practitioner who tries to get to the root of the problem & not just hand out a prescription to pacify your concerns & causes more problems in the long haul.

I did not find much of a true apology and much of traditional medicine was still followed with some new exercise and nutrition thrown in. I found the whole book had very little in depth discussion about this apology.

This is well written, concise and to the point. If humanity really lived like this, the pharmaceutical companies would be out of business and the population would actually be healthy and happy! I highly recommend this book.

I would recommend that everyone read this book because very few people understand that doctors are not Gods. They can only do so much to help their patients. However, doctors need to be honest with their patients and do more for them to treat the entire body and not just their symptoms. They need to discuss with the patient about their lifestyle and get to the bottom of why the patient is having symptoms. Treat the route cause and not just the symptoms. It's unfortunate that doctors only have enough time to spend with each patient and just rush them through without trying to get to know their patients' lifestyle as far as diet and exercise, etc. It seems it is about the money and not about what truly matters. It's pretty sad!

I was a patient at the health span institute in Pensacola. I did not see Dr. Schneider directly but was under this NP. I really enjoyed the advice he gave in this book about how to find a good Dr. I used this advice before I found him but reading him say the same thing really confirmed it for me. Also, I appreciate his diet and exercise advice.
