This program is fabulous! I'll be 53 this year. I'm in fair shape for my age. But I needed some motivation. Chalene Johnson IS that motivation. She gets you up and gets you moving. Her instruction on the movement itself is spot on. Yes! Yes! it's challenging! You sweat. You struggle. But my bum knee is in better shape than it's ever been in! No more creaking and popping when I stand or take the stairs.
Each routine has several people functioning at different levels, watch and follow the person at your level. Give yourself time to gain strength. And if you feel the need to, back up a week. Listen to Chalene and push yourself. The results you get depend ONLY on your determination. I saw a significant change when I got brave enough, with my creaky secretary knees to really take a step back on my lunges. Within the week my butt got smaller.
Remember, no amount of motion will slim you down if you don't change how and what you eat. The program comes with a simple dietary guide. But if you want optimal health, invest in yourself. Buy some books on clean eating.
