Purchased this CD because I love this artist. The clarity of voice, the instruments, the music, absolutely "LOVE" it. The price was reasonable, the product arrived on time, I am very pleased with the purchase. It seems only Amazon specializes with the 'older artists', and the availability of finding thier product online. Very satisfied with my purchase, and I highly recommend it to others.

The product arrived on time, and was in perfect condition. I have been looking for this cd for awhile....had the cassette years ago, and loved it then...and was very happy to have found this wonderful item. The arrangements in the background are perfect, and Pia's voice on this is incredible.

Pia sings classic standards with the London Philarmonic Orchestra and she does it well. Otherwise they would not play with her. She sings "Maybe this time", "Embraceable you" and others. Absolutely convincing. Her follow up "I am what I am" is even better.

While listening to the on line radio station, Spotify, I noticed a couple of songs by Pia Zadora. Ms. Zadora has for many years, been the butt of jokes by late night comedians. Anyway, I listened to the two songs and was blown away. I had read that Frank Sinatra had given her a great piece of advise years ago and I'm so glad that she took it. Sinatra told her "Stick to the standards kid"

This is the music that changed Pia Zadora from a joke to a queen - she belts out the standards with emotion and ease. I highly recommend it - it's gotten me through the roughest of times, when I originally owned it on cassette tape!

I bought this LP when it originally came out in the 1980's. Pia Isadora showed a side of her that to me was just incredible in that she could take American Song Book and sing it well. And she does on the CD. I play it over and over as her voice and the music are extremely soothing especially after a tough day at work.

You are open to hearing. I played "Maybe This Time" from my iPod for my sister who was in the back seat of our car. My sister and I are the best of friends and we both grew up in a household full of all kinds of musical styles. We both have a vast respect, knowledge and love for a multitude of musical styles within the pop culture canon as well. Having said that, I asked her who she thought this was, and she said Liza Minnelli!

Listen closely. You will be surprised at the wonderful quality of Pia's vocal talents. While much has been said about her acting abilities, too few have given Ms. Zadora the praise she surly deserves for giving her all on this CD as well as "I Am What I Am" ~ a sequel of sorts to this fine offering of classic standards. I recommend this for the folks who love quality orchestral vocal interpretations of the golden age of song.
