The Original Pick Punch. Make picks from credit cards, gift cards, hotel key cards, ID cards, plastic materials or from sheets of popular materials like Delrin, Lexan and Ultem. We have years of experience making tools and supplying materials for making guitar picks. If it has been tried we probably know how to do it or we probably have done it ourselves. This experience has led to this 351 punch. Includes our original 351 Shape guitar pick punch direct from the Company that invented it Pick Punch LLC. Like all Pick Punch tools these are super heavy duty with superior front load design. These are not cheap tools. They weigh 1.3 pounds each! Also included is an instruction packet and more information about where to go to get all kinds of pictures and videos on how to make picks from all kinds of materials and customize them in various ways.

The picks themselves are a good size for me - I mostly play acoustic and I just strum. They are comfortable and I can get 5 out of a card if I'm not particular about what's centered on the pick.
Some reviewers have mentioned that the edges are rough. When you first punch out a pick, there is a little roughness to the edges, but a quick swipe around with a fingernail or running the edge over your pants leg (as another reviewer mentioned) is sufficient to smooth out the edge.
At the end of the day, yeah, it works. But it requires a lot of finish work with the file to get 'em right. And for what this thing cost, you could probably purchase a lifetime supply of all manner of colorful plectra - even ones adorned with scantily clad maidens. And if I'm ever somehow stranded on a desert isle and I run out of picks (doubtless long after my strings are toast), it would give me something to do while I'm thinking of creative ways to off myself.
And I somehow can't see Ted Nugent or Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton whiling away their idle hours with this thing, a pile of expired credit cards and hotel room keys, and a nail file. Just sayin' ...
