According to the title, this is a "picture book." While there are many, many pictures, this book is really no more than a long listing of facts about Dolley and James Madison. In my opinion, you can actually relate too many facts and miss the STORY.
I was very disappointed in this book. The author has forgotten what it means to be a child. I would also say that, while the grammar is for lower grades, the content is really meant for older children. This book does not hold their interest, nor does it have an engaging story.
I would not buy this book for younger grades.
