Fast-paced, flirty and fun! Great book that takes you on a ride with main character Lauren Tate who you can't help but fall in love with. She's funny, sassy and in your face. The writer does a great job of bringing her to life and you can't help but moan and groan with all the twists and turns that happen in her life. And just when you think you know what's going to happen ... bam! You don't. Really enjoyed the Los Angeles landscape and seeing the inner workings of the television world, mix in steamy romance, a bitter breakup and a little mystery and you have a super fun read that keeps you on your toes from start to finish. Really enjoyed it!

I loved Picture Perfect. The heroine was a strong, successful, high powered TV exec, but at the same time, she was totally relatable. Even as her world was imploding, she handled it with grace - and still managed to look fabulous! Fast-paced and full of sass, this novel offers an insider's view of the cutthroat entertainment industry, full of memorable characters - many of whom may or may not have a hidden agenda. The story was full of twists and surprises, and it kept me wondering and guessing up to the end. And wow. What an end it was! A thoroughly enjoyable read. Can't wait to read Lucie Simone's other books!

I was really pleasantly surprised by this novel. The main character isn't sickeningly sweet. She's tough and bitchy and selfish, but she's also real and has been hurt. I love that she gets to with the character Jack. He is so adorable and definitely dreamy. A total fantasy since guys like that don't exist. He has the best last line of a character too! I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a fun, sexy read with a little side of mystery thrown in.

Pairing chick lit with a murder mystery makes for a delicious, intriguing and addictive read. Add a Hollywood setting and the backstabbing world of the entertainment industry, and you've got a book that I couldn't put down. With relatable characters, laugh out loud scenes and twists and turns I never expected, Picture Perfect is a book I highly recommend.

Ever since reading Hollywood Ending, Lucie's first book, I've been looking forward to reading another one by her. Her books always contain so much scandal and intrigue...basically they are the perfect guilty pleasure reads. Therefore, when I was offered the chance to be part of the blog tour for Picture Perfect, I jumped at the chance. I couldn't wait to see what Lucie had for us this time, and thankfully, it was everything I had hoped it would and much, much more, as not only did Picture Perfect contain the drama and chaos that I love, but it also had so many fun twists and turns thrown in...twists that I almost never saw coming, which is always a pretty awesome thing in my book.

Picture Perfect is the story of Lauren Tate, a leading Hollywood TV Producer who's been down on her luck lately. It all started six months ago when Alan, her husband of five years, asked for a separation, but now he wants her to sign divorce papers! Lauren just can't believe it...Alan was supposed to be the love of her life. Then the shock of all shock comes...Alan is trying to overthrow her from her job so that his new girlfriend can take her spot. Lauren knows she needs to come up with a plan quick, but the fact that Hollywood's new leading man is showing an interest in her isn't helping move this plan any faster. All she knows, is she needs to make a decision between the man of her dreams or the career of her dreams...which one will she pick? Only time and more pages can tell!

As soon as I started this one, I was quickly caught up in the plot. I wanted to know everything about Alan and Lauren's separation as well as well as the plan Alan had to do her in. Plus, I just loved seeing Lauren's new romance develop with Jack as well as the twisty chaos that came with it.

Lauren is a high-powered cable television executive about to be divorced from the vindictive Alan when she meets and becomes involved with Jack Ford, a gorgeous, much younger, up and coming actor.

Although there are a lot of things going on in this book that should have made it riveting (back-stabbing, extra-marital affairs, untrustworthy friends, murders, previously unknown illegitimate children, etc., etc.) it actually moved a little slowly for me. I just couldn't get involved with the characters. I will say I loved Jack - he was the one truly great character in this book - but the rest of them seemed a bit flat and predictable. I kept putting the book down and didn't feel any rush to pick it back up.

So, overall, a decent story with what I suppose is just the right amount of angst - but other than the relationship between Olivia and Jack, it just wasn't all that interesting to me.

Adult language and sexual content.
