Picture flicker?

I'm having a lot of problems watching this movie. I use a PS3 as my Blu-ray player, with a Samsung HLT6187SAX for a TV.

Basically, the image seems to flicker constantly. When I say flicker, I mean that the brightness seems to actually jump a little throughout the picture. It almost makes the movie unwatchable because it's so annoying. I had the same issue when watching 300.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've watched several other Blu-ray movies that have had no problems, including Man on Fire, Training Day, and Spider Man 3. These two are nightmarishly bad because of the flicker, however.

I've tried swapping from HDMI to comp cables with no improvement.

I've had the same problem, although in my case all the movies I have watched, casino royale, cars and the dark knight all flicker badly at the start of the movie, but seems to progressively fix itself, so that by 20-30 min in the flicker has gone. I have an LG BD300.

The entire picture, or just detail (leaves, gravel, etc)?
