What people are saying about Pieces of Me:
"I am a massive fan of Kira Adams - her work is just amazing! Her writing style is just beautiful and the way she captures human emotions is just wonderful. Her characters are flawed which makes them much more realistic and loveable. There is someone, or something, in each of her stories that readers can relate to. This author is going far, don't miss out on her wonderful books." - Samie Sands, Amazon Reviewer

Then we have the twins Jax and Jace . . . Talk about night and day personalities despite looking identical they definitely have very different approaches to life. Jax kind of gave me an odd vibe for a while . . . And later I discover for good reason! And it took me a while to warm up to his character. Jace is different he is your typical boy next door and so it was interesting to watch the progression with him and Peyton.
Toward the middle of the book we really begin to see Peyton grow in confidence and really begin to blossom into a more multi layered personality. We see that she is capable of way more than when we initially meet her at the beginning of the book and as she gains confidence we see her become fearless revealing more sides of her personality.
The Last 1/4 of the book really took some shocking twists and turns that I didn't quite expect from a YA kind of read and that made it really stand out! I love that Kira can make each genre her own and writes in all sorts of them. Definitely an author to watch. I can't wait to reread the second book in the series.
There are sprinklings of romance all over this book. The way that it finally comes together in the end left me with a ridiculous grin on my face. Like I said, I was totally team Peyton. My heart ached with hers, but I loved the way that Kira told her story. The romance is perfect and it's so fitting for this story. It was sweet at times and hard at times. Just like real life.
I've been a fan of Kira Adams for awhile, but Pieces of Me took that to a whole new level. I'm so glad that she decided to tell the story of Peyton. And I cannot wait to follow Peyton's story with the rest of this series!

Characters are likable and you will fall in love with quite a few. I liked that Peyton was not quite sure of what she wanted and who, she had a few boys she liked and you don't really know who will be the love interest till later in the story.
The villain in the story was a bully and you might hate him, the author did a great job at making him bad enough for you to hate.
There were some sad moments, not ugly cry kind of moments, but this story does make you feel emotion.
There are some twists that you don't see coming, or at least I didn't and it made for a very interesting plot.
I was never bored with the story, it does have a lot going on enough to keep you interested throughout.
I loved the lyrics to the songs at the beginning of every chapter, I really enjoyed reading them all.
There is a love story of course, a young love story so even though it does have sexual content it does not have steamy sex scenes so don't expect that when reading. The story is very good without them anyways ;)
I will recommend to my friends.
I felt so conflicted. Peyton was kind of shy in the beginning and then all of a sudden she wasn't. I didn't quite understand how she went from one to the other so quickly but I went with it.
This story was packed full of story! Peyton liked one boy only to find out he had a twin. Then the one boy she liked turned out to be really mean and stalkerish. While the other she liked but he held back. There was a lot, and I mean a LOT of teen drama in this book. I liked it though. I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened next. I needed to know what happened. And I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome!
I have the second book but haven't started it yet. I plan on continuing this series to see how it ends. :)
